Review for Putain des Palaces by Etat Libre d'Orange

Putain des Palaces has lovely notes that begin with a ladylike mix of rose absolute and violet. This opening combination reminds me of the scent of a Caron loose powder.
The drydown is an intoxicating mixture of leather, rice powder, musk, amber and something mysteriously animalic.
The fragrance is like a naughty version of Caron's Aimez Moi.
According to Now Smell This, this fragrance was created by Nathalie Feisthauer. This is the perfumer responsible for Versace Blonde and Comme des Garcons Guerilla 2.
I was never a particular fan but Putain des Palaces made me a believer in the perfumer's talent.
It is rare for me to purchase a bottle without extensive testing and coveting.
I purchased this particular bottle the moment I sniffed it.
I never got a chance to stalk it or dream about it.

Anon: The company is really into the naughty. Some of it goes over the line...but I loved the actual scents. They were interesting.
Who would have throught to mix bubblegum and incense together?
I did not get to sniff that one because the tester was empty.
I was disappointed.
