Letters to Blogdorf
I was wondering if you might be able to help me possibly identify a fragrance (or point me in the right direction of someone who could?) that has been my mother's favorite but we've been unable to find for years. She purchased the bottle at a special sale at Filene's Basement in Boston in 1986 and it was a rounded rectangle of a bottle with no markings or words on it - except a gold squiggle going from the upper left corner to the lower right corner. I believe it was frosted white glass and had either a red circular or gold circular top. My mother seems to think it had a name which sounded Oriental.
It might be a longshot, but I would absolutely love to find this for her. Please let me know if you think you can help me in any way.
Thank you for your time,
Kristy

You might want to ask the folks on Makeupalley's perfume board to id the bottle. Some of them have amazing collections.
Is it Society by Burberry?
Hi - definitely wasn't Society - that came in a clear fluted oval column bottle with a red/gold top, and the box had a red ribbon wave across it, not a gold squiggle.
