Storing Perfume Samples
I have finally organized my perfume samples. Many of my perfume pals from makeupalley have come up with some crafty ways to store or display their fragrance samples.
I have always stored mine in shot glasses. This was getting to be too cluttery and annoying on my vanity.
This jewelry organizer lets me see what I have and also keep the samples in an upright position.
Now...I need to figure out a way to organize my lippie collection.
How do you store all your lipglosses and lipsticks?

I'm still a devotee of the acrylic organizers for lipsticks -- about 2" or deeper openings so that the cases stand upright and it can accomodate glosses. And I organize by color. I've got about 40 tubes including glosses so I toy with the idea of swatches (I'm not that great with remembering the color that goes with the name) although I'm not sure how I'd do it (white paper? with contact paper over it?). Can't seem to muster up the time. And having them organized by color and from matte to frost helps me remember the colors well enough :].
About 5 years ago before I could admit that I was a hard core Glamazon, a girlfriend visiting from out of town noticed my lipstick org system and called it "a bit much" and I so let it get to me that I got rid of all those organizers and whittled my collection down to "a respectable" 9 or 10 shades. I was so miserable! I guess in a way she help me embrace my inner Glamazon!! So Rock On with your org, fellow glamour girl :}.
What a fabulous idea! Thanks Annie!
I am so impressed! I love organization.
GG: That is what I have for my lippies along with a Bergdorf box. I do not have them in any kind of order though.
I might do that.
Hi Greeneyes!!!!
It is great to see you.
Mary: I had too much time on my hands. LOL

I STORE MY LIPPIES, GLOSSES, BALMS, ETC. IN A THREE DRAWER PLASTIC CONTAINER. IT MAKES IT REALLY EASY TO FIND WHAT I NEED.
I organize my lipsticks and glosses in divided baskets. I have them organized by color scheme (light pinks, dark pinks, berries & reds, beiges, peaches, violets and clear shimmer). I also have my nail polishes organized in two baskets (one for pinks & reds and one for all other colors, like purples, blues, whites...etc.) I find that colors are easier to locate if they are organized by color scheme. I take it one crazy step further and have my eyeshadows also organized in stacked drawers (one for pinks & purples, one for neutrals, and one for all other colors).
I know, it's a little OCD, but it really works pretty well.
I'm like gablesgirl: I use a perspex lipstick organizer for my perfume samples. It's absolutely perfect. For my lipsticks (I only have five), I use an Indian essential oil organizer (it's made of wood and has slots carved into it). I can't stand mess.
Genius idea! I'll have to try this!
