Bobbi Brown's Fall Lip Glosses

Mauve Lip Gloss is a muddy mauve shade that is strangely appealing and works. On the lips it is a puddy nude with just a hint of mauve. My lips are pigmented and naturally a raspberry color. The Iced Mauve Shimmer Lip Gloss is like a lippie version of Shu Uemura's ME Brown 850 with the added bonus of shimmer. This is the most wearable of the three fall lippies.

My personal favorite is Black Orchid. It is unique and captures the fall taupe trend. Taupe is going to be the new Black Satin and Navy.

This fall collection is pretty fabulous and one of Bobbi Brown's personal best. It is wearable and fashion forward. This morning the collection is on the Bobbi Brown website and at your local BB counter.

Apparently I am the *only person who hates the BB gloss brushes. I love their glosses, and snap up the palettes ("rum" is the perfect color for me, all seasons of the year), but the brushes in the tubes splay and I hate them. I've been told they're supposed to do that.
Do you think the pinks of this past season are gone, or about to be? Should I snap up more blush and lip color?

Thirkellgirl: Your right.
I am not a huge fan of the brush either. It is rough feeling.

I am not sure you need to hoard. Pink always comes back.

Okay...It thought it was just me. I'm glad to hear that you both experience the splaying of the brushes too.
The colors are gorgeous though and the splaying won't stop me from buying more BB lippies! : D

Readers who might be interested in these glosses should be aware that the official BB swatches are off; Black Pearl is the darker of the two glosses (I have both).

Am a big fan of BB glosses, and these two are excellent temporary additions to the line. BP is in the same color family as last year's Stonewashed Mauve. The silver/gray tones aren't apparent in the wearing; BP is a light/medium lilac that is very neutral and natural.

One caveat: Both of these glosses need a pink or rose blush. They didn't work at all with my warm Nars Luster.
