MAC Sonic Chic: Merrily, Merrily, Merrily...life is but a dream

Merrily is described as a "midtone dirty red with gold pearl". My first thoughts were bricks, sangria and carmine. I know it photographed raspberry-like but it is more cool toned red.

This is a hard color for me to pull off...but damn it is gorgeous.

Let me know what you think in the comments.

I bought it last week, and have been playing around with it ever since. I'm a PPP (NC/NW 15 or lighter), so it requires a very light hand and a MAC 188, but it brightens my face like no other! It's a rather unique color, IMO.

Oooh Oooh. Those pictures are pretty! I purchased Gentle and Gleeful. I am applying with a light hand and they are FAB! I am also fair (NC20) and found that, like suzanne said above, using a light hand and a 188 brush could be your best bet. Worse comes to worse, use a bit of powder foundation on a 187 or kabuki and buff out if you feel it looks too dark.

Of all the Mineralize Blushes, this is my favorite. It is a very unique shade and looks nothing like any other blush I own. And it goes on like silk!

I'm fallen in love when i saw the photo of this blush for the first time. I guess is quite difficult Merrily matches my light fair skin, but i can't resist to try it on, when the collection will be available for Italy too.

This is my favorite of the bunch. It's a prefect color, but I have to have an extremely light hand when applying it. Super pigmented. Looks better on my cheekbones than it does on my cheeks!

I like the color but I wanted something more subtle... but it is gorgeous!

I am literally going to have to go and buy this right now, i have olive skin and adore shades like this. I'm usually subtle with my make-up on eyes and lips but i can never resist going a tiny bit more colourful on the cheeks!
