Anthropologie Question:
Has anyone tried the scents from Tokyo Milk Parfumarie? They sound so promising.
They retail for $28.
French Kiss: a sweet pucker of mandarin orange, gardenia and tuberose
Ex Libris: studiously paired fig, magnolia and bronzed musk
Le Petit:: culled from tiny violets, vanilla beans and peonies
Honey & The Moon: a twilight rendering of honey, violet, jasmine and sandalwood
Song In D Minor: white orchid, orange flower and gardenia, all in perfect key
I Want Candy: crisp apples, peaches and rosebuds are sweet, never treacle
Waltz: linden buds, wisteria petals and white musk twirl in time

I would like to know about Paper and Cotton, and also Dead Sexy!
they all smell quite nice, but I only tried on Honey and the Moon, which was a little heady for me, but pleasant. It was also the only one they were sold out of.
Hmmm! These sound really interesting! I might have to swing by Anthropologie tomorrow after work and sniff these out and report back, because I'm definitely intrigued...
Thanks Jeanne!!!!!!!
Anon: The bottle for french kiss looked adorable on the site. What were the others like?
I sniffed them last week! They were all interesting but none were cave worthy for me.
annie: I liked the typesetting on the bottles, which was how I first noticed them in the store. I didn't see what appears to be images that are printed on the other side of the label, but that's probably my lack of awareness.
I was just there this Friday - the bottle caught my attention.. the scents were good but none of which I HAD to have.
Ex Libris
Sounds good.
The name and the notes.
Will have to try and sniff that one.
Ex Libris sounds right up my alley - I'll have to check it out - thanks!
I picked up Ex Libris on a whim at Anthropologie a couple of months ago and figured it would get the usual rotation in my (gigantic) perfume shelf, but I've found myself wearing it everyday for work. It starts out VERY green and leafy too the point I could sneeze, but then mellows down into the warmest, cleanest, creamiest, freshest "non-musky" musk that I Simply Adore.
I smelled most of them the other day. French Kiss was very floral, Honey and the Moon smelled VERY much like sweet honey, not the clover kind, the teddy bear kind. My friend bought Le Petit, which is very nice and vanilla-beany and a tad soapy-clean smelling, very nice, very vanilla (no pun intended).
Yum. Love these. Very JCrew Collection. Very Anthropologie. My two favs are Dead Sexy and Le Petit. Dead Sexy is a warm Oriental, perfect for evening, and Le Petit is a day-worthy floral. Both last - surprising for such a frugal fragrance.
