MAC's Hot Contrast
Of course, I had to cave on MAC's Hot Contrast Mineralize Eye Shadow mostly due to the skills of FOTD regular Nova Baby. It creates a fabulous smokey eye with a mixture of ash, soot, plum and red. It is just all kinds of fabulous.
I wish I would have opened several Hot Contrast boxes to see which one had the most red pigment. Mine relies heavily on black and pink with just a splattering of red.

i saw this one at my local mac counter and i just couldn't buy it. the red just made me look like the living dead...not flattering. hope it looks better on you annie :)
i feel the same way about the mineralize eye shadows. I bought the one with the pink and taupe, and i love love love the taupey-pink side, but not as much the purely pink side. I wish I could have looked through the entire drawer for the one with the most taupe. pewp.
I'm so in love with this eyeshadow. I got one that's mostly the marbled side with a lot of red. You need to try using the black side with a wet brush - it's the blackest black eyeshadow I've ever owned!!
I just bought this. Could you link to the FOTD you refer to?
