Bobbi Brown Shimmering Nudes Palette

Bobbi Brown palettes are collected like baseball cards in the beauty junkie world. Owning the chocolate palette is like owning the rookie card of Joe DiMaggio.
The latest palette to hit the counters is the shimmering nudes palette. Neutrals are what Bobbi Brown does best. This time she has added just a sprinkle of shimmer to a few shades. The sprinkle is truly just a pinch of shimmer. It is work and day friendly. The palette features shimmers, washes and matte shadows. The pigment power and texture varies with the shades but this is more of a wash of color. It is foul proof. I tested the palette side by side with the Stonewashed shadows. Shimmering Nudes is warmer with lighter shades. Stonewashed is cooler with more of a theme of taupes and grays.

Nude Beach Metallic Eye shadow is an iridescent champagne shade.
Nude Mist Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow is a pale taupe with low volume pigment power. There is microscopic shimmer that is fairly sparse.
Nude Glow Metallic Eye Shadow is iridescent ginger ale color. As with all Bobbi Brown limited edition palettes, there is a sleeper hit of the shades. Nude Glow and Nude Spice are duking it out for the title.
Nude Spice Metallic Eye Shadow is a Russet potato brown color. This is warm and brassy for a standard brown yet it is not metallic or coin-like.

The exclusive shade is Mica Shimmer Wash Eye Shadow is a repeat from the Stonewashed palette. It is a low volume taupe.

Two Classic Standard Shades
Naked Eye Shadow is a peachy nude. It shows up on my fish belly skin.
Espresso Eye Shadow was in the Stonewashed palette. It is a great ash shade for smoky eyes. It is glides on whipped smooth and is rich in pigment.

This palette is limited edition and is priced at $50. This can be found at your local Bobbi Brown counter.

Until now, I'd been pretty successful in talking myself out of this palette. I think, however, you may have just pushed me over the edge LOL!
(sheepishly hands $$$ over to BB)

I have stacks of BB palettes at home - I haven't used them recently, but it's comforting to know that they are there, patiently waiting, knowing that their neutrals will never go out of style.

I can't decide between this palette or the BB Mauve Palette.

Annie, Do you have both? Which one do you like better?

I bought this palette a couple of weeks ago after having had the makeup artist at the BB counter use it on me. My skin is medium/dark with warm undertones. I love these colors. And you are right, all are great for daytime because nothing is overly shimmery. I like to use the espresso as eyeliner.

To anon 1:08 - I have the mauve palette, and I use those shadows at least 4 times a week. They are actually fabulous neutrals! You should definitely get the mauve palette. :)

This is a great palette, which I tried to resist at first. Now have been wearing some varied from it everyday. Love it!

I love this palette...the colours are so subtle and flattering and great for days when you just want a polished, natural look. I also own the mauve palette and have to say it offers definitely more colour, but the look you get with it is still natural and very sophisticated! I'm really glad I decided to get these two and totally recommend them for naturally beautiful, work-safe looks.

I'd get the mauve palette. Stronger colors but still very natural.
