Lancome Event in NYC

Lancome National Makeup Artist Tarek Abbas is headlining a makeup event at the New York Lancome boutique located at 201 Columbus Avenue at 69th street. You can sign up for one on one appointments or a master class with Mr Abbas. The fee is $75 but this is redeemable toward Lancome products. The event is for September 19th 2008. Call 212-362-4858 and reserve a spot!

10:30am-12:30pm is the master class with Mr Abbas
1:30pm-3:30pm is the one to one time with Mr Abbas
5:30pm-7:30pm is the evening master class with Mr Abbas

I participated in an event like this with Nars. My friends got amazing and transforming makeovers.
Mine was alright.
The best makeover I have ever received was at the hands of Chanel.
To this day I have never looked so damn good. They created the most amazing smoky eye with a light shimmery pink lip. I regret not purchasing every product used.

Tell us your best makeover experience in the comments and let us know if you attend this Lancome event.

i had two Nars make overs with their international trainers. Both times amazing, and I got to learn so much, and ask how to make some products I had but didn't wear work. The only thing is that they kind of go heavy on the skin, it's more like a make up that would look stunning on camera but a tad heavy for real life. I think the secret is to ask for a hand mirror so you can see all the techniques they use and where they place colour and with what brush and the movement, etc and to ask them to use some products you already have to create a new look which is understandably easier on the wallet.

Dang that model is really, really ridiculously good-looking.

No makeover experience for me — I'm still going with trial and error. And the internet.

Belle: It has been years so my memory is foggy. I can say the smoky eye was created by Winter Nights palette. My lip was achieved by 3 to 4 products. I thought I could achieve it with products at home...but alas I never matched the magic.

The moral of the story is...buy the products. You will regret it. LOL

Medina: The Nars MA created everything with teal. I bought everything and have never used any of it. LOL

Karla: I owe you an email! I am loving your blog series.
