Topshop Dreams Dashed: No November Opening
Lets just say that a NYC trip might have been subconsciously organized around the opening. Now I will have to make do with H&M and Forever 21.
I have been obsessed with the thought of Topshop for quite a while. When a dear friend announced that she was moving to London, I was excited not because of her being with her true love or being in a land rich with history. I was overjoyed that she would be able to visit a Topshop and tell me all the gory details.
The Cut reported that the delayed launch is due to mechanical difficulties and not to torture us.
I just see it as another disappointment for 2008.
I did not get my true love nor did I get a Topshop.
A pox on men, Topshop and astrology charts.

Aw... I'm sorry! Don't worry, though... there will still be plenty of other shops for you to visit. :)
Ha! I like the way you throw in a pox on your astrological chart. It sounds to me like you just have messed up feng shui and could be doing more about it (pot meets kettle here)!
NO!!! First the sixth Harry Potter movie gets pushed back and now Topshop! There must be some sort of conspiracy out there trying to butcher all of my big fall plans. I've been planning a trip to NYC specifically for the opening of the Topshop store and to go see the play Equus since last year. Seriously I literally I am going the weekend Topshop was supposed to open (16-20). Now how am I ever going to get those amazing zip up buckled ankle boots that are out of stock online.
hehe...love the way you said "pox on ..." but seriously, 2008 is not over yet...men might still turn up...you never know!
oh no! What a bummer :(
Sadsies. But perhaps this will give the economy a chance to bounce back a bit, so I won't feel as guilty when I shop til I drop in there? Ever since I lived in London after college, I've been amazed by Top Shop.
The year is not over, Annie dear! You never know what the next 3 months will bring :)
