I think Michelle Obama is beautiful and has a lovely figure -- and whoever made those comments about her arms are right, they're fab! However, I have to agree with those who are on the fence for the dress. I think Wu designed this for one of those ethereal 90-lb models or socialites. IMO, Michelle would have looked much better in something simple and long and streamlined, a classic elegant gown that would have played to her strengths (her height, etc.).

Annie! You never fail us. lol. Enjoy the festivities!
and it was fabulous!
It looks like she is trying to be ethereal, but I don't know if it works.
Oh wow, that's pretty ugly.
Michelle looked stunning in that lovely gown! And her beautiful morning coat and dress, too!
I will be honest...I am still on the fence with the gown. I think it is the beading throwing me.
I thought it was awesome. Pretty avant garde for the first lady. And my lord, those arms of hers...she should never wear sleeves!
I just didn't think this dress was flattering. The dress reminds me of a 1980s wedding dress and doesn't really go with the Neighborhood Ball theme.

We think that it was inspiring to see such a young designer on a first lady.
