Hope Floats

Day 40: Philosophy's Hope For The Best kit
by Annie

"The moment I felt this air-whipped moisturizer, I knew a star was born. It was like pouring a glass of water into my skin".
Quote from Cristina Carlino, Founder of Philosophy

You can not do a skincare series without mentioning Philosophy's Hope in A Jar. It is a cult classic and Oprah approved. The texture is whipped to a cool whip consistency. It looks delicious and worthy to adorn a red velvet cupcake.

It has a very light powdery fragrance. It leaves the skin moisturized without clogging pores or any skin irritations. It leaves the skin smooth and silky to the touch.

Purity is a magnificent cleanser. It boasts superior lather to squeaky clean skin. It is gentle as a lamb. I have recommended the Purity line to my friends with skin sensitivity with great success. It is worth a test at your local Philosophy counter.

Eye Hope is a new discovery for me. This eye cream feels simply amazing on the skin. It hydrates and tightens. The tightening is subtle and far from alarming. It also holds onto concealer with an iron grip. High smitten status with this product!

I have combination skin, & Purity dried my skin out badly--it scared me away from using any other Philosophy products.

I love Purity, it works great with a Clarisonic! Hope in a Jar with SPF is my summer moisturizer, although it sometimes makes me a bit shiny. Eye Hope actually irritated my skin, and I don't consider myself sensitive, but I really loved the little pump dispenser.

Purity is a wonderful face wash, but Hope in a Jar did terrible things to my skin =/ and I also could not stomach the smell!

Honestly, I had high *hopes* for Hope in a Jar, but I hate it. The smell drives me crazy, it irritated my skin, and I did not find the texture pleasing. Sorry!

I do like Purity though.

Annie, I just want to thank you and Cavewoman and Melanie and everybody else for these wonderful 40 days. I loved reading honest reviews and how open you were about your skin issues - from large pores to menoupase effects.

It was awesome. Thank you!

I have received a sample of Help Me retinol serum that is actually helping lighten the ezcema hyerpigmentation I have on the side of my face. I think I have found my very favorite Philosophy product of all time. It just use to be the Some Body moisturizer. I'm in the process of testing out Hope in a Jar - on day 3 so far and no break outs just yet! Fingers are crossed....
