There is a thunder in my heart for the Sorceress palette.
As a snow miser and Erika F fan girl, this palette was the one for me.

White Rabbit is a frosted white shade.
Hold My Gaze is sort of an Erika F dupe. (Yep...I said it. The pigment power and oomph is superior with the original...but beggers can not be choosers!)
Edge of Dark is a silverish heather gray.
Magnetized is a cold lavender. It is hauntingly beaultiful. This is the shade that I lost my mind over.
Hypnotizing is a mouse-like taupe with a mauve cast. Very cool.
Altered State is a blue violet. Heavy on the violets.

This is the warm "heat miser" palette. This is aptly named Devil May Dare. It is all toast and peachy.

Oh My Darling is straight up cream. It photographed with a pink cast...but that is not the case.
Dare Ya! is peachy pink. Heavy on the pink.
Sorcery is a rich blackened burgundy
Gold Tease is a muted, non metallic, low wattage frosty gold. Highly wearable.
Prankster is a muted olive with a gold cast.
Devilishly Dark is a rich hazelnut brown with some gold shimmer.

The palettes retail for $36 and are currently at your local MAC counter. I have found that palettes are actually a great gift for the holiday season. Giftees react in a positive way. My nail tech still raves about her MAC palette from two years ago. These 2009 palettes feature useful and stunning colors for various skin tones. The packaging is festive and has a cool factor.

The Holidays with Bond 9

This is a sneak peek at the holiday offerings for Bond 9. Laurice is a fellow shimmer lover. The jewel from this entire collection is the 42 oz amphora vitrine, covered with 16,500 hand-applied platinum Swarovski stones. You can fill it with any of the 32 Bond fragrances. The price is $3,500. Can you imagine having Lexington Avenue "on tap" in a blinged out perfume keg?

There is a limited edition Bleecker Street flacon that retails for $395.

The pearlized milk glass Eau de New York bottle is studded with diamond-colored aurora borealis stones. Chelsea Flowers is bedazzled with emerald-colored stones. Chinatown features ruby-colored stones. Each bottle is loaded with 5,000 reflective Swarovski stones. Each bottle is $650. By all accounts, I have heard that the shimmer power on these three bottles are stunning.

Dior Holiday: I die!

Dior Beauty shut it down.
Twilight and Moonlight quints are bananas.
I die.

Before I start the gushing process over these Dior quints, I have to proclaim my love for the Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo. Is anyone else watching this show? Ms Zoe has exquisite taste in all things but it is her entertaining expressions that keep me glued to the television. She is hilarious.

The Twilight quint(140, 1st & 2nd picture) is glorious. There are no other words. The Moonlight(029,3rd picture) quint has some stunning taupes. Pink Sith will die. They retail for $54 and are available at your local Dillards counter.
