New unsniffed lemming alert:

Montales Greyland

Description directly from Aedes:

"Pepper, elemi and cardamom sparkle in the top notes of Greyland, an elegant composition of musky woods suffused with warm spices. The scintillating top accord melts into the sweetness of woods anointed with incense. Teak, cedar and sandalwood are overlaid with ambery rockrose from the coast of Southern France, resulting in a perfectly balanced accord that reveals its various facets simultaneously, from sweet to spicy, from chilly to sensual." (Quote from Aedes-I love the descriptions from their site. They make you want to order anything...even fragrances you are not a fan of)

I am a sucker for cardamon and woods...so this scent is calling me to break my "no buy" promise.

Available at Aedes for $135.00 @ http://www.aedes.com/home.php

I have a sample of this in some pocket somewhere. Miguel loves it. I am not so crazy about it, but you should try it.

Me too...big lemming...gonna have to go revise that wishlist. I just tried Sweet Oriental Dream, I hadn't relaized that Montale had its own version of Rahat...

Tbone: So is it chilly to spicy? I think that is what hooked me.

Marlen: I have not tried many Montales. I have a rose Montale sample here somewhere. They are a pricey line to fall in love with. I think I remember trying the Swwet Oriental Dream and actually liking it. There also was a spiced bread aspect to that one.
I think after lent is over I am going to order samples from Aedes, beautyhabit and maybe luckyscent.

HI Annie,

Thanks for the plug sweet cheeks!

This one did not intrigue me, HOWEVER if Miguel likes it, I must try it (schoolgirl giggle). I do like many of the Montales though.
Neela turned me onto them.

Marlen I find SOD by Montale to be MUCH sweeter than Rahat. I will have to retry.
