MAC's Muse Collection

The MAC Muse collection was better than I thought it would be. The shadows were the surprise.

They are highly pigmented with a wonderful shimmer. The standouts were Persona/Screen Vinyl. Screen Vinyl is a smoky grey/black with multi-color shimmer. Great for a smoky eye look. The other standout duo was Illusionary/Burning Ambition. The gold is one of the best I have ever tried. I did not "cave" because I have so many other colors like it. I am sure I will be kicking myself when it is gone but I could not justify another gold eyeshadow.

The infamous mineralizers are back with this collection. Shooting Star and Shimpagne are already sold out on the MAC site. These are selling like hotcakes across the country. You might want to pick one up soon. These went for outrageous prices on Ebay. My personal favorite was Porcelain Pink. Gave a slight flush to the face.

The lipsticks were not amazing this time. They reissued Pink Maribu. 15 minutes is the perfect lipstick for a smoky eye look. A very pigmented nude.
The top gloss was Ciao Manhattan. It is a shimmery flesh colored coral.

Now onto the most important MAC news. The next collection is going to be amazing. There is a stunning berry lipstick that will fly off the shelves. The new Viva Glam campaign will feature several celebrities.
One will be Dita Von Teese.

I've been wondering which cosmetic company would snatch up Dita Von Teese. She is such a fashion icon right now. When she started leaving exposed lunulas (halfmoons) on her dark vampy nails, so did women all over the world.

She is a very good fit at MAC. I would love to have them tailor an entire collection around her.
From red lipsticks to cool retro compacts....

I can't wait to see Viva Glam VI, I love all of the Viva Glam shades and this round of advertising is going to be fun. I wasn't going to buy anything in this collection but I saw this post and give in yesterday. Damn. ;)

A Muse is fun and witty, and a great start to transitioning to fall.
