Nail Polish Of The Week Challenge For October 2nd 2006:

October is nail polish month at Blogdorf Goodman. Dramaqueenie2 has suggested calling it "Getting Nailed"

Every Monday I will ask what nail polish you chose for the week. It will be similiar to the successful gloss challenge.

This week I wore OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark.
It is a dark eggplant color with no shimmer. It takes only two coats to achieve the color in the bottle. The color is holding up well against all the typing and filing at work. So far no chips or cracks. The polish has lost none of its luster. It still looks like a fresh manicure.

What is your nail polish this week?
How often do you change your polish?

I have only three nail polishes, and all of them are red. This week is Essie's A-List. I am a big fan of Chanel's Pirate as well. I wear it until the chips become unseemly, and only on the toes. I am extremely conservative in polish, I'm afraid.

I've been wearing Lincoln Park for the last week. It looks black, but isn't as dull as pure black. My manicure shop in had to find 5 bottles keep them hidden because it's been sold out. It's the hot request in L.A.

I love Lincoln Park After Dark!!! Right now, I'm wearing Rimmel's Lycra-Wear in Celebrity Bash. I tend to become obsessed with one nail polish color for a few weeks, and then switch. I think this one might last a little longer, though!

I've been wearing Essie Mademoiselle but I've just changed to opaque white nails. I don't know if I consider them mod or trashy.

I hardly ever polish my fingernails anymore, I keep my toes done but that's it. But I've been so intrigued by the Black Satin hullaboo that tonight I cut my nails down and did them in Urban Decay Perversion. Glossy solid black, no sparkles. I love them, but I'm sure there'll be comments from my husband and boss. My 13yo son thought they were cool though.

Next time I'll probably do UD Brick House (super dark red, almost black) or Lincoln Park.

OPI Bubble Bath on the tips and Essie Wicked on the toes.
My stand-by shades. Am having a mani/pedi on Friday, so I'll probably change to something more daring like Lincoln Park...will have to give that one a try! Thanks for the recommendation!

Oh! This girl in my office was wearing Lincoln Park the other day and it looked very cool on her...I'm considering a field trip at lunch today to check out some new colors.

I have finally packed away my beloved Essie Sugar Daddy and switched to dark shades for the fall. Essie Wicked on fingers and toes!

Today I'm wearing Dior Addict Lacquer in Rose Narcissus... a pale shade for the office, although I can't wait for the weekend to try my new dark red Rimmel.

Annie, I love your blog and read it all the time. I have never commented, but I want you to know that I think this is beautiful!

I LOVE Lincoln Park After Dark! I've been wearing it on my toes since last month, and it looks gorgeous.

I look forward to reading about more nail polishes as the month progresses.

Hugs, violetnoir

As much as I'd love to start trying the new fall vampy colors... I'm still a little bit stuck on the light and summery look. I guess I'm not ready to give up warm breezes and late sunsets just yet. So for now I've got on one coat of Essie Like Linen with one coat of Essie Shop Til You Drop on top. Maybe I'll branch out a little next week and try some of your great recommendations. :)

I am wearing Essie Imported Champange along with Opi Berry Good Dancers. I'm dying for the new polish in the Bobbi Brown holiday collection but it is already sold out!
