This is a very good issue from Lucky.

Highlights are:

Katherine Heigl's makeup is by Estee Lauder. They used one of my favorite lippies High Gloss in Blush and my new soft smudge eyeliner in brown.

Love the Black&White cotton blend jacket featured on page 34. It has a great funnel neck. They also feature retro jackets on page 39. The bright coral jacket from J Crew looks promising.

The best miniskirt is on page 48. It is the gray one from the Gap.

A great gray wedge shoe can be found on page 50. It is by Banfi Zambrelli.

The makeup section was not at its best but they featured Chanel's Inimitable mascara, Tom Ford's Black Orchid fragrance, Chantecaille's mascara(rosewater and greet tea ingredients), and a page with recs for concealers. On page 75 there are interesting recommendations for hair products from Lauren Wooden. I am curious about the Kohala Spa's Coco Mango shampoo and conditioner.

Page 80 and 81 feature products that help with the cold season. C.O Bigelow's Cold and Flu soak and Dr Singha's Mustard Bath caught my eye. I coveted the Ylang Noir Pur powder soap on page 82 instantly. That is my #1 lemming from the entire issue.

I need all the gold bangles on page 91.

I also love the locket on page 92. That is lovely and perfect in every way. On page 95 there is a very affordable Sarah Cavender bracelet for $60. It made me think of something I coveted from the Chanel spring collection.

There is a shout out to my favorite blogger Robin at Now Smell This on page 117. She also featured another stunning blog called Designsponge.

On page 116 is an article by Gigi Guerra that lists the coolest shopping sites on the net.

WHY does my Lucky mag arrive *days* (sometimes weeks!) after everyone else's??? I've been a subscriber for a couple years now, and it's been this way the whole time >:~(

Yay for Robin, though!

I LOVE Lucky. "Four Girls, One..." section is great, though I particularly favor the "Polished" and "Downtown" looks. Plus, I love the "Next, Big Things" feature and the "A Work Style Makeover" feature. The beauty "How To" is great (and the video online is wonderful), too. The look on p101 is wonderful too...erm...well, I guess readers (at my blog) know that Lucky's my fav mag -- and now you know too!

I love Lucky mag, a friend has gifted it to me for years. I think this issue's cold/flu ideas might be the spot for me as I am just starting to get over a nasty one picked up when outside of Cleveland for a funeral. Went past YTown on the Tpike, annie and thought of you and Cavey. So wish we could have met up, maybe next time I get up there to visit. need to do a BG sniffa, and have to see your Nars counter :)

Congrats, Robin! How fantastic. Any and all mentions of her site are so richly deserved.

I'm not overly keen on Lucky. It just kind of bores me, and the part I'd otherwise adore, the "local" shopping recommendations, are places almost always for Seattle rather than Portland. Yay for Seattle folks, but it's vaguely annoying for those of us southern Pacific NWsters. *sniff* Portland is pretty, and fun, too!

Megsa: The online site was very cute. Had a great selection!

Trina: I still have not received my January Allure. It is MIA.
Today I got my February Lucky...two days after my January issue. I do not get their mailing system at all.
My big pet peeve is seeing the issue on the stand before I get it. It just irks me.
BTW: Did you ever get my email T? I sent it through your blog.

Peej: She looked the best when she was on Roswell. The weight loss does not look bad though. I imagine she is losing based on a more hectic schedule. She is a smart cookie...so she will not go on the wayside...like the other starlets.

Dailyobsession: I know it is mocked with the hardcore fashionistas...but Lucky is so damn useful. I never get lemmings from Vogue or Allure. Lucky introduces me to brands that I have never heard of...and I am a beauty junkie.

D: Let us know when you are in town again. We would love to meet you!!! We will organize a Cleveland meet up in your honor!
I hope you feel better soon! Everyone is sick in Ohio right now. The warm weather is messing us up.

Katie: I loved Portland when I visited there. They had great vintage clothing stores plus Powells....You need to write in!!!
I would love to see different cities featured.

No, no emails. I hope it wasn't important!

Incidentally: my Lucky arrived yesterday (Saturday). Punks.
