40 Days and 40 Nights of Beauty Cult Classics
Day 38, Lancome's Erika F

I feel that I might have said all that can be said on the merits of Lancome's Erika F.
How much more can the readers take of the swooning and gushing over this eyeshadow?
But there is no way I can ignore this shadow in the cult series.
It is a cult classic in every sense of the word.
It is discontinued in the states but available in Europe under the number G40 Erika F-133.
It sells for serious money on Ebay.
It is heartbreakingly lovely and creates the most spectacular smoky eyes you will ever witness.
Erika F is a dirty olive/mushroom shade. One moment Erika F is a mouse brown and then it evaporates into a green tinged smoke.
The effect is unique and quite breathtaking.

The texture is cashmere like. It feels like no other formula.
It glides on like silk and lasts for hours.
Erika F is a must have in any beauty junkie's arsenal.
It is damn perfect.

Tell us what you think of Erika F in the comments.

It is a gorgeous colour! Shame about it not being available in North America.

I absolutely ADORE this eyeshadow. If someone said I had to pare down my collection to one shade, this would be it! My boss brought me THREE of them back from Dubai and I figure with careful use I can make those last the rest of my eyeshadow-wearing life.

I showed this to my peeps at the MAC counter yesterday and they FLIPPED out over it, asking how-how-how could they get it.

(sorry for all the all-caps words, but with this eyeshadow, I can't help it)

I adore this one and have bought three to myself. It is still available here where I live in Norway.

I first tried it - I think - on a prompt from here (your earlier articles) - I only tried it on the back of my hand and deemed it too shimmery. Then I kind of read up on it and tried it again, this time the way it is meant to be worn. Adore! It takes on this liquid-like quality and it really stays on. It is widely available here (Europe) and I think it will stay for a while as it was made a part of a fairly recent Absolue range on a permanent basis. With the dollar taking a plunge now, it costs about USD50 now.

I love this colour! Same sentiments on smoky looks the eye shadow is able to create. (Am on a taupe kick now and realised that the Erika F works beautifully with ALL taupe shades!) That said, I think it's equally fantastic as a wash on its own.

I guess over here in Singapore, we're really lucky that the shade is part of the permanent collection and only costs SGD35 (less than USD25?).

I'll have to go take a look at this! It seems to be available in the duty-free shops at Tokyo Narita Airport and in regular stores in Japan.

After reading several of your posts on this shadow I decided I *had* to have it. About a month ago I asked a friend in Germany to get it for me. I just got it a few days ago. HEAVEN. OMG - I love this. I was hoping you were right because it cost me way too much money, but honey it was well worth it. Thank you for bringing Erika F into my life. =^..^=
