I have been tagged by Risa at http://lachendwolf.blogspot.com/ to name 5 quirky things about myself. This was a difficult question to answer. I am a boring quirky person. Risa has an impressive knife collection while I have no cool weapons. She can not take naps while I can sleep my life away if I wanted to. She fears earwigs. I have no idea what one looks like. Note to tbone: Do not post a link to a picture of one. I repeat...Do not post a picture of an earwig.
So here it goes. If anyone wants to add a quirky thing/habit that I do...leave it in the comments. Please be kind...or I will get you back. I swear.
1. I fancy myself a Nancy Drew sleuth. I love to solve a good mystery.
2. For grade school history day I went as Coco Chanel. I was competing against Daniel Boone, Florence Nightingale, and Laurel and Hardy. The teacher felt I spent a little too much time discussing her lovers. I did not win. I was in the 4th grade.
3. According to my co-worker Darryl, I often shut my eyes when I am about to discuss something stressful. I also take to my bed after a bad day from work. This last week I have been in bed by four. It has been that bad.
4. I do not coo at babies. I coo at dreamy bags and swoonworthy coats. I clap at pretty things. I have been known to stalk a coat and covet a perfume bottle. I peer pressure people into buying shoes. I encourage caving with everyone but cavewoman. With her...I am stricter.
5. I have repeated this often...but I love Drag Queens. I could just take them home with me and play dress up all day. My dream is to judge a Drag Queen pagent. I went to the Miss Gay Cleveland pagent and you would have thought I hit the lottery. When they put the spotlight on the tiara...you could hear me gasp in the entire room. Me and a room of drag queens. It was heaven.
Well...this is all I got. I tag everyone! Post your freaky habits in the comments. Keep it clean Peej and tbone.

That is truly impressive that you went to grade school history day as Coco Chanel and you should have totally won!
I want to get in here before the fur -- and earwigs -- fly. I think your penultimate quirk is your ability to see fashion in EVERYTHING. You manage to pull each season's themes out of thin air ... and out of art, and nature and popular culture and ... see what I mean? You have a wonderfully quirky eye. I heart it and you. xoxo
I love this entry to bits- thank you so much for sharing. I'm glad there is someone else besides me who is inspired by Coco, Patsy and Nancy.
I live on the rainbow street in Toronto, and you should definitely come judge one of the many drag queen pageants!
Sweetie, sweetie...when you die, you could just have..... "Patsy's Stone!"
Mu-wahh-haha!
He was just a windshield washer I picked up, buns so tight he was bouncing off the walls!
Eddie: "Have you eaten something, Patsy?"
Patsy: "No, not since 1973."
Oh best friend, I just love you more and more!
I agree with M, you have a keen eye that focuses where others don't notice!
Annieytown = 100% fabulous! Drag Queens would be honored to have you as a celebrity guest judge at their pagents!
oh god, I just love this list Annie! You are so cool.
I'm just envisioning you, wreathed in smiles, in a room full of Drag queens!
ROFL!!!! Keep it clean Peej and Tbone! HA.
You do not coo at babies? Is your heart made of wood? Must I call you the Tin Man?
Just kidding I am much more likely to coo at dogs than babies.
I will try to make mine interesting (and clean)
xo
LOL! Great list, Annie.
Dear Annie ... It's been too long since I've last posted (this sounds like the beginning of confession!) ... but things have been busy here.
My list:
1. I thought I was Jesus until about the age of 9.
2. I was really fat until I was about 16 - and still feel fat - always.
3. Women of all shapes, colors, ages, aromas and zip codes fascinate me.
4. I imagine I will do one great thing in my life and that is what has always motivated me to keep going.
5. I was one of the producers of "Paris is Burning" the drag film of all drag films ... I'll be happy to tell you all about it one day over coffee or something should we ever meet ...
Best ...
Keep it clean? Keep it clean? You're not serious.
Hi Dinah: I went as Edith Head the next year. I was never going to win. No one ever knew who I was. Edith was a very hard sell.
M: I heart you.
)))M(((
Tell Clearing I said hello. I miss her on the blogs and on MUA. I plan to write her soon but time goes by so fast when I am working on the blog. It is eating up my email time. I need to just spend a saturday writing to my friends.
eurobrat: I loved your post and picture of Irina. She is my favorite model of the moment. I love her look and style. She also reminds me of my all time fav Audrey Marnay.
BTW: I hope to visit Toronto. It is the home of one of my favorite people in the world F(at self styled siren). Now that I know that there are tons of drag queen pagents...I am so there.
Marlen: Perfume and ab fab! Peej and I are so going to fight to sit next to you if we ever meet at a scent shindig!
Here is the best quote that you will enjoy:
Eddy - 'What are you drinking Patsy?'
Patsy - 'Chanel No. 5
Sand: I tag you best friend!
)))S(((
kyahgirl: I was on cloud nine!
I was the only person at the table not wearing a tiara. My friend and I judged the show from our seats. I was Janice and he was Mr Jay. LOL
Peej: Well...I actually cooed at my first baby. His name is David and he is my first godson. He was born on saturday night. He is handsome and has my heart already.
I have decided that he is going to havard. He is 4 days old.
BTW: You can be dirty. I was kidding.
Thanks R! Post your list here. Pretty please.
R: I will now have to rent Paris is Burning!
As to #3: You really should attend a sniffa event. It is a day long event in NYC that is attended by some stunning women who have a passion for perfume. They would love you and you would love them. If your interested...I will see if there is any room.
Tbone: Go to town.
Get dirty.
discussing her lovers??? WOW, that is immensely cool! i love this list, Annie; thank you!!
and the drag queeen bit? please do tell me you've been to Lucky Chang's in NYC? if not, i am SO taking you when you next arrive.
Hi R! I am so glad that you caught it. Peej did one too.
I have never seen a NYC drag show. I have not truly lived.
I would LOVE to go to this place. Is it the best?
BTW Everyone: I tagged you all!
Where are the lists?
A: it's not the best, but it's the most convenient and it's VERY funny. we can meander over there from Bond without a pause. if you're really interested, i'll make us a reservation over Sniffa weekend.
Our Annie has helped me by pointing out two quirky things about me.
1. I won't buy gloves that do not have pips.
2. I shop for clothes from the inside of the garment. Annie says that I will often squeal with joy "OOOH! A Hong Kong finish!"
I can't think of any truly quirky things about myself.
Joyce: OMG! It is so great to see you!!!!
Congrats on your grandbaby. You do not look old enough to have a grandbaby. Seriously...I thought you were in your early thirties.
Massive hugs J! )))J(((
