Rock the Gloss for Thursday August 31th 2006:
"If we were perpetuating the gestures of the twentieth century for posterity, putting on lipstick would head the list"- Vogue 1933 (from Lipstick)
Today I am testing MAC's Plushglass Pretty Plush gloss. It is a shimmery pearl pink in the tube. On the lips it is just a lovely layer of sparkle.
Here is the description from Gloss.com:
Sheer lip colour with a pearlized high-shine gloss finish. Formulated to make lips look and feel like more – instantly! Comfortable to wear: lush, multi-dimensional. Sensational in application: gives a cool-warm, vanilla buzz to the lips. Moisturizes, soothes and visibly plumps the lips to make them look luxuriously healthy and well-conditioned. Contains vitamin E for added environmental protection. To keep lips looking full and lush, use it on an ongoing basis.
These lip plumping glosses have various degrees of tingling. MAC's is the mildest with a cooling sensation. It is similiar to eating a York Peppermint Patty or sucking on an altoid. It is never uncomfortable or annoying. The great thing about the gloss is that it really delivers plumping action. My upper lip is fuller than it has ever been.
The scent is a wonderful plus. It is a like CSP Vanille Frangipane. Like summer in a bottle.

Mac really does come up with some original names for their lip products!
Has anyone tried Kimora Lee Simmons's makeup line yet? It's fab! Today I'm wearing her sheer lipstick in Fresia with a a Mac Chestnut lip pencil.
first time commenting...but have been enjoying your blog for quite a while! Keep up the good work!
I am wearing Bobbi Brown Plum Liner (filled in) with MAC cosmic lipstick (blotted) and Chanel Pagoda gloss. I'm gonna have to try the Pretty Plush...sounds lovely! Thanks!
Today's lippie is:
MAC Lipliner in BBQ
CARGO lip duo in Soho - one side a soft, shimmery pink, the other a sheer neutral.
Wearing same as yesterday: L'Oréal HIP gloss in Dreamer. Downgrading lemming for further HIP glosses to tropical storm, due to total non-moisturizing stickiness. Looks great, but doesn't feel great. Requires tons of lip balm.
I'm kind of off MAC and have been ever since their really crappy longstaying lipgloss made my lips into gluey shredded wheat. But you make me feel as if I should pay attention to this one. Amazing, since the Sandra Bernhard ad annoyed me so much I'd decided not to try it. I know, she's edgy, she's funny, she's smart. OK, you know what? To me, she just seems crazy drunk. And I have friends who are funnier crazy drunk. I hereby declare myself over Sandra Bernhard as well as today's gloss.
I'm wearing Fresh Lip Shine in Chocolate. It's rainy and nasty here so I decided to keep the lips light.
Wearing Paul and Joe #22 a beautiful peachy frost.
my 2nd post after posting under book club.
new thought on that, read A Scented palace, see Marie Antionette movie, then go to Versaille for real and smell her perfume there :)
Hi great blog here! Never posted for Rock The Gloss Challenge before. Here's what I wore today: Kiehl's Balm #1 and M.A.C lustreglass in Pinkarat.
You guys are so lucky! In my side of the world, product launches takes about 2 weeks to a month after the launch in US to come here. Also, some fab products do not some here!
This sounds really nice, Annie! Is it drying at all?
Lips for the day: Chantecaille Campari. Lovely red-pink color.
my lazy fallback- MAC Pinkarat lustreglass- pinky-gold shimmer
then for tonight- MAC Lipglass Tasti in Latte Lick- opaque nude
