It is freezing in Ohio today. There is frost on the ground. I am breaking out the winter coats and mittens. The fragrance I chose today....is something that smells like the first blooms of spring.
I chose it because I am not ready for winter.
This is a limited edition version of Pleasures inspired by Gwyneth Paltrow. It is a frosted ballerina pink with a gold label.
It is a bottle full of lady-like charm.
I am afraid that I have never tried the original Pleasures so I am clueless if the formula has changed for this edition. The notes I detected are lillies, violet, peony, a smidge of gardenia, and musk. There might be moss in there as well. It reminds me of one of my favorite fragrance's La Base. It is fresh flowers with a "forest floor note" thrown in.
It is lovely and slightly inappropriate for today's chilly weather.
I loved it.
It is available from September to December 2006. It is a limited edition.
The 2.5 oz EDP is $58 and is available at your local Lauder counter.

This is the exact fragrance I posted about too!
I first tried in ten years ago and it is the same scent.... but I do love it. (I only wish I could describe it the way that you do :)
I first tried *it* ten years ago...
Sorry!
A, I love Gwyneth, but I am not crazy about Pleasures. In fact, I find it hard to believe that she actually wears this. I used to smell it all the time and on everyone back in the late nineties. I guess it is making a comeback of sorts.
Hugs,

That's cool! Hey semi-related - this sounds awesome'

Estee Lauder fragrances are a bit too strong for me in general. They used to make a great fragrance called Aliage--itwas a "green " fragrance that made you feel like you were walking in the woods in spring. I so wish they would bring that one back.
You can buy this at costco for 39 dollars.
Aliage is still made! They just don't have a tester out.
