This last week I have been organizing my makeup and fragrances. I realized that a majority of my stash is being ignored.
In an effort to encourage myself to dig deep into my eyeshadow and fragrance piles I need the help of my readers. Starting today I will be doing a post that lists what makeup and fragrance I have chosen for the day. I am hoping this will inspire new color combinations and make me reach for fragrances that have been demoted to the back of my vanity.
Today's deets are:
I started with my Estee Lauder's Perfectionist. I have noticed some redness and the beginnings of a breakout so I am back on this religiously. Perfectionist is an amazing product. It pretty much runs my face like a drill sergeant. It nips any chaos or uprising in the bud.
I used my Nars Brightening Serum and then Smashbox Primer.
My foundation was an Awake Skin Renovation sample from cavewoman. It was #2. The finish on this foundation is very lovely. Very natural looking. Coverage is no match in comparison to La Mer. This would be an incredible foundation for anyone with close to perfect skin.
I finished this off with my La Mer powder along with my Smashbox Smashing Lens in Soft Lights. I also used my new MAC Mineralizer in Lightscapade as a highlighter. I needed something to brighten me up under the eyes. I looked tired and beat.
I used my new MAC shadows from the danse collection. I used Rite of Spring as a wash with Rondelle on the lid. I used Swan Lake(pictured) in the crease. I used a mixture of Nars Flight shadow with Laura Mercier's Mineral Eye Powder in Asteroid for the liner. My mascara was Chanel's Inimitable mascara.
My lippie was Estee Lauder's High Gloss in Blush.
My fragrance was Tea for Two by L'Artisan.

It is very smoky yet sweet on me. I had forgotten how stunning it was.
Now...I have to force myself to not wear it again tomorrow.
What did you wear today?
Did you do a smoky eye, wear a red lippie, or go bare faced?
What perfume did you choose?

Hi Annie! I bet you looked gorgeous! Tea for two sounds good too. I love the idea of trying new things every day. I just tried iPdF Inceso...it's like a light daytime incense very pretty.
Today was bareface for me as I am a little under the weather.
Why would someone with nearly perfect skin wear foundation? I know I don't.
I wore my usual black smoky eyeliner today, and my vanilla perfume from Yves Rocher.
What a fun idea. I try to switch my m/u up but I'm not good at creating combos.
I wore my Smashbox SoftLights in Lens as well. I love the slight peachy glow it gives my skin. I went pretty minimal today. Just Smashbox Primer, Aromaleigh Foundation, SoftLights and Smashbox Brow Tech.
I did hit up the CCO at Aurora Farms to pick up some new goodies. I've never seen Shimmer Bricks there before so I had to indulge myself. I think that will be my new item for tomorrow.
i wore swan lake today with rondelle! then stila kitten it gloss on lips and paula dorf ballet blush. no perfume...i'm waiting on my miss dior cherie perfume in the mail
I LOVE Tea for Two. This was the only L'Artisan perfume I have smelled so far. You should do a FOTD challenge, I'm game. :)
Since I'm home with a bad back, the only thing on my face is L'Oreal Definity (which has a really lovely subtle sheen, btw) and some hydrocortisone, but as usual, I save my richest fragrances for home use. Comme des Garcons Zagorsk started the day, and TDC Bois d'Iris for the evening. I need to delve into all my sample vials again, see what I forgot I have.
i've been having fun with some of the new makeup i got for christmas!
on my face i wore perscriptives magic primer, stila tinted moisturizer, a gold and champagne shimmer eyeshadow from my smashbox palette, bobby brown cream eyeliner, smashbox soft lights blush in lens (soft peach), and maybelline mascara.
my perfume was jo malone honeysuckle and jasmine (yummy!)
What a great idea! Something that I should be doing before I run to Sephora the next time and come back with another pile of makeup. And I'm not even talking about all the fragrances- bottles, samples and decants (but, I actually thought about visiting the Aedes store in the city today...).
I have yet to put on makeup today (but I already did my morning ckin care routine, mostly Lancome SdV). Yesterday it was Chanel concealer and foundation (Vitalumier), Lancome blush, Artliner in Smoke, eye shadows from Lorac and Lancome (Moonstone and Garment) and DiorKiss in Praline. I was wearing Andy Tauer's L'Air.
You inspire me to delve into my stash and do something different today.
Such a fun idea! I myself just pulled out a stash I got Christmas a year ago! It's so much fun to play around with make-up! Have fun & I can't wait to see more from you!
Benefit Bad Gal eyeliner and mascara for a smoky eye, Mac blot powder, Marc Jacobs Amber fragrance
Hi Everyone: I am so excited to see everyone into it.
I plan to do a post tomorrow morning with what I wore. It will be done daily until I run out of ideas.
