My favorites for the evening are in bold red. The surprise of the evening was Katie Holmes. Her makeup and the hair pins were stunning.
My least favorites were Lucy Liu, Anne Hathaway, Ziya Zhang(but I loved the yellow eyeshadow), Oprah, Eva Green(it was a beautiful but difficult couture gown), Ellen Pompeo(horrible), Rose McGowen(what happened?) and of course....Sally Kirkland.

When I found out that Dunst was wearing Chanel, I was stunned. From head to toe, nothing was working well for her.
It appears from the runway photo that Beyonce's dress is a wedding gown?
My favorite was Mirren. It was perfect.
My favorite trend for the red carpet is the re-appearance of the no-dangle clip earring. Joan Rivers predicted this a year ago.
Thanks for the photos, Annie!

I really liked Reese Witherspoon's dress and I did not see what Katie was wearing but now I have to go and look.
Eva Green and Reese Witherspooon was the best. Gwyneth Paltrow the worst/boring.
I loved Rachel Weisz's so much. I blogged about the ladies on my site as well.
Rachel's jeweled neckline and huge cartier piece were gorgeous, gorgeous. and Helen , she is it. the dress is spectacular. I also did some comments for my local paper, whcih was fun.I was also totally impressed by Jodie Foster in her Vera wang, she looked better than she ever has and her blue earrings even brought out the blue in her eyes. we don't see her glam it much usually.
Jen Hudson was the what were they thinking outfit.
My favorite: Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, and Reese Witherspoon. All three I thought looked stunning and pulled off their look well.
I agree with Patti, I don't know what Kirsten Dunst was thinking.
haha! i love how the model wearing gwyneth paltrow's dress looks exactly like her. it's like she saw the look on the runway and went "oh. there i am. i shall wear this."
It was exciting to see Paltrow in a dress that fit and that her hair looks healthy. My only objection is to her choice in lipstick.
I actually loved the top of J-Lo's dress. I always find a portrait neckline so flattering, and her's was so blinged out. It did look like a maternity dress fromt he chest down, but the top is so pretty that I will list it as a favorite.
Emily Blunt had the cutest date and I loved the color and fit of her dress, too. Helen Mirren was my most favorite of the night.
Loved Gwyneth, Reese, Jodie, Rachel, Emily, Cate, JLo and, of course the queen, Helen.
I need to see Katie's dress, as I did not see her in the pre-Oscar line-up or at the ceremonies.
I was most disappointed with Jennifer Hudson. What was that metallic shrug thing she had on? It looked like something Funkadelic would wear. And, that mud-colored dress? What was Oscar de la Renta thinking? It looked comfortable, and her hair and makeup looked lovely, but never, ever put a woman of color in a mud-colored dress. :(
I thought Kirsten's dress was divine, but her hair and makeup looked thrown together, like she just jumped out of the shower and into the dress.
Hugs!
Well all I can say is that I think that the dresses looked better on the models than on the celebrities at the oscars.
I loved Nicole Kidman's look and don't know why the girls at GoFugYourself didn't. It was very elegant. Helen Mirren looked great, so did Kate Winslet, but Rinko Kikuchi was my favorite, I now realize. I though Rachel Weisz's dress fit oddly through the hips. And WHEN will Gwyneth get some therapy for her total denial about her boobs and their needs? all the poor things ask from her is a little support, but nooooo.
Patti: Marc Jacob's did clip earrings for his spring collection. I am glad I still have my aurora borealis clips.
Toya: I think Keisha is GORGEOUS. I was not crazy for this last dress though. I felt that Jennifer should have saved that Michael Kors gown for the Oscars. I imagine that is very hard to argue with Mr Tally though. He is a force to reckon with.
George Clooney and Daniel Craig also looked amazing.
Farran: I think the dress gave Paltrow some lovley hips and curves. However...her boobs are never taken care of properly. I am guessing that she has no damn clue. She keeps doing it over and over.
