Product Body
One of the best things that has happened since I started the blog has been discovering the niche bath line called Product Body.
The collection boasts fantastic products that rival any high end brand. Their sugar scrubs are the best I have ever tried. The sugar is finely milled and feels feather light to the touch. They include macadamia nut oil and fresh shea butter to give it the added benefit of moisturizing power. It exfoliates and leaves your skin soft and supple. It gives you the spa experience without the hefty price tag.
The products look good enough to eat in the photographs. I can vouch that they look this delicious in real life. You almost feel like you need to refrigerate them because they look like whipped cream and cake frosting. The shea butter is so magnificently whipped that it resembles Peter Pan peanut butter. I think I became a fan because all the products are made with love. Joanna cares for her product and it translates from the quality of the ingredients to her packaging.
My newest love from Product Beauty is the Crush On You scrub in Yuzu. It smells like a cross between a grapefruit and a mandarin orange. The orange smells ripe and bursting with flavor. This scrub gives me a much needed jolt to kick start my morning. It wakes me up better than a cup of coffee! That is high praise!

My favorite homemade bath/body maker closed down her eBay store, so I needed to find a new line! Thanks for this!! I will definitely check them out as soon as my hastily purchased last-chance-before-the-store-closed stash dwindles.
P.S. Unrelated, but Cavewoman's lovely post on collectible compacts the other day sparked a big interest in me. I've been shopping around on eBay ever since then, and I realize that I'm stumbling around blind.
I don't know anything about vintage brand quality! And, I'd really like to purchase a compact I can *use*. But, I have no idea which vintage brands are still refillable and which ones are refillable with nice quality powders. Help!! I would really appreciate some pointers from the masters. :)
I think that most Estee lauder compacts can be filled with lucidity refills. I can't say how far back this goes, but check with your counter, if one of these ladies don't know( although I expect they will :)
To Jennifer: I believe that Lauder sells two sizes of the powder refills right now. You can check on their website or at a local counter. I am pretty sure that even the older ones are still refillable with one of the two powder sizes, and the refills are under $10. Best thing to do is to get a true measurement of each of the refill sizes, so take a ruler to the counter. Then when bidding, write to your seller and ask him or her to measure the diameter of the empty powder compartment. I have seen that many of the Lauder compacts on ebay are sold empty. I'm delighted that you have become interested in collecting compacts! Please write and let us know what you've found.
I have to second Annie's comments on Product Body's Crush on You and Whipped Shea Butter... they're absolutely divine!
Thanks beauty alchemist! Thanks so much for the quick and helpful response, Patti! So, I should steer away from Stratton and Elgin compacts...?
Elgin compacts are stunning. I am not sure if you can find replacements for the powder. I will ask P and see what she says.
Collect them just because they are gorgeous, but I think it's going to be hard to find refills that fit those particular brands. But, I think a little research is in order, so let me see what I can find out for you.
Last year, Annie took photos of my compact collection. In it is a compact from Tiffany, it is a curled-up sleeping kitty in sterling. When I got it, it came with of all things, a Max Factor powder. I never did find a refill for it.
I'll get back to you if I find out anything!
Love your blogs name! Well done.

Thank you both very much!! I feel like a much more informed buyer now!!
Count me among the Product Body fans! I snagged a jar of Crush on You just after Christmas in the Vanilla Caramel scent - divine! And yes, the shea butter is fabulous - but I also love their Mama Balm (great for my stretching pregnant belly) and Wash (especially in the super travel-friendly Road Wash size). Plus, like you said, Annie, you can tell that Joanna really cares about her product AND her customers. I have a couple of baby showers coming up in the next month or so, and my hostesses will be getting Product Body goodies as thank-yous from me :)
