MAC's Moonbathe
This collection is more like the blistering sun than the pale moon. It is a collection filled with warm golds and fiery tangerines.
My favorite item is Claire de Lune eyeshadow. This is the coolest shade of the collection. It is similar to Provence pigment with pink opal sprinkled in.
This would make a spectacular powder.
Firespot eyeshadow is tangerine with a golden hue. Looks fab with Gold Dusk pigment.
Gimmershimmer in Ritzy is a peachy bronze with golden pearl. I thought the shade was a more intense version of Deckchair pigment. It was a melon on fire.
Other Worldy Sheertone Shimmer Blush is a gold shade that would be stunning on the right complexion. I am far to pale to carry this off successfully. Instead I use it as an eyeshadow. It is a yellow based gold that is so gorgeous...photos can not do it justice. This could be the sleeper hit of the collection.
Solar Plum lipstick is a lippie to stash away for fall. This berry shade with red pearl will come in handy for the wintery months.
Sunmetal reminds me of fool's gold. It shimmers with some silver spark. I have successfully layered it with various shades of reds and pinks.
Crescent Lipglass is a caramel shade with gold pearl. Highly wearable and looks great with a smoky eye.
Dark Flower Lipglass is a vampy plum with red pearl. I have not "road tested" this shade yet. Normally I would stash it for winter but this color is calling me. I think it is the crushed merlot color. It is lovely.

why can i not get into mac? i seriously think i was traumatized permanently when they put "fun" eyeshadow on me. read: lime green.
Sing is sister! I'm wearing Golded polish on nails today and loving it even more every time I catch it's shimmer in the light! I'm not sure Firespot is tres flattering on me but I HAD to have it's citrusy metallic goodness (what Florida girl, really, could walk away from that color)? I also left with Fireball (destined for my toes) and Cosmic, a lovely warm bronze - the richness of the color sold if for me. I bought these while on a business trip and was not enamoured of any lippies at the time but after reading your reflections I'm going to revisit them at my local counter!
Girl: I have begged my local counter to go nuts on me. I want the works...false eyelashes, vivid shadows. I have not done it yet though.
I did have a bad Nars makeover that involved a "teal" theme.
GG: This is a great summer collection. Very beachy in an old school Tom Ford/Gucci sexy kind of way.
I love gold glittery makeup in the summer! My favorite of the moment is Urban Decay's "Midnight Cowboy" - Girl: you should give MAC another chance, face that trauma - they do great things in makeup :)
I ended up with Saturnal eyeshadow, Solar Plum lipstick, Dark Flower lipgoss (been rocking that all week -- great all on its own!), and the pinkish shimmerblush...can't remember the name. Now to just wait 7 more days until the next collection comes out...
Can anyone help me locate the Gumps carved owl stool show on the blog. I'd love to find one
