I am back from Paris and feeling the effects of jet lag.
My trip was beyond my wildest dreams.
I stood in the apartments of Coco Chanel and was hit with a gentle breeze scented with Chanel 5.
I learned about the craft of Chanel perfumery from the legendary Jacques Polge. He was beyond kind and was willing to let us smell any of the notes in his lab.
I sniffed the iris used in 31 Rue Cambon from a tester handed to me by my perfume crush... Christopher Sheldrake. I was beyond "thunderstruck"to be in the presence of the man that created Serge Lutens Fumerie Turque and Ambre Sultan. He was very dashing in his lab coat.
I saw my newest impossible lemming.
It was a Chanel cuff in white, littered with interlocking C's, with a set of headphones in the middle. I could not tear my eyes away from it.
It was so damn cool.
We had an audience with the infamous creative director Jacques Helleu. He was charming and gave us a sneak peek of the Coco Mademoiselle commercial with his new muse Kiera Knightley.
The Chanel offices are some of the best smelling offices I have ever been in.
It was a feast for the nose.
I woke up early every morning to catch the sights and smells of the city.
I stumbled across the closed Serge Lutens boutique with its windows filled with the new fragrance Sarrasins. It was the most gorgeous purple-ish ink color.
I met some incredible fellow bloggers and members of the Chanel staff. Everyone was wonderful, stylish and generous.
I wanted to take Adrian from Fashion Verbatim home inside my pocket.

I will be posting pictures today and throughout the week.
