Napoleon Dynamite: Not to Prime is a Crime

I am testing Napoleon Perdis Auto Pilot Primer. I generally stick with my silicon buddies like Face Time and Smashbox. Silicon helps anchor my foundation. It also manages to keep my blush vibrant and my shimmer intact.
The Auto Pilot primer promises to not only create a pre-makeup base but to soothe and treat the complexion. It contains free radical scavengers such as Chamomile, Yarrow, Extract and Vitamin E to help strengthen and smooth the skin's texture.

It looks and feels like a moisturizer instead of a primer. It has a light silky texture and fresh linen-like scent. It kept my foundation intact throughout the day. However, it did not stay matte for very long.
I got "the shines" and had to freshen my powder every few hours. I never have to do a touch up with Face Time or Smashbox.
I did not experience any breakouts or irritations. There was so skin drama at all!
I am not entirely sold on it. Let me know what you think in the comments.

The primer is available at Sephora for $39.

I'm honestly not sure what to think about this line. I think it's because the line itself doesn't really seem to know its own identity. What's it about? Bright colors? Quality skincare? Why does the packaging vary so wildly from product to product? Hm...

I love Ms. Amelia, however. ;)

The one time I tried the NP primer, my makeup started sliding right off halfway through the day. I just don't have high hopes for this brand. There's a NP store at our local mall, and every time I pass by the makeup artists are hovering in the door, trying to get people to come inside for makeovers. That has nothing to do with the brand or the quality, of course, but it turns me off from wanting to try anything else from their line.

I really dislike this brand, way too over-priced and nothing stellar. I know Australians who have seen it for years, and even they find it to be a joke.

I'm not a big fan of Napoleon products. Nothing from their line really grabs me.

I have auto-pilot. It does the job, but there is something about it that just isn't right. It leaves my skin feeling greasy.

This reminds me that I need to get my hands on that Face Time primer to give it a try.

Is it only available at their site still?

i'm going to chime in for the yea column, but i have very dry, sensitiv skin and rosacea. i liked this product for exactly the reasons most of you didn't.

i think it did smooth the texture of my skin to some extent (as well as any primer), it helped to lock in my moisturizer, and my foundation stayed put without powder which just makes dry skin look worse.

this is a good primer for dry skin, if someone really felt they needed one.

i do agree that the line seems disorganized, but when i finish my bottle of geller primer, this is next on my list.
