Paris Spring 2010: MAC Beauty Breakdown for Gareth Pugh
“The skin looks like it had ash explode onto it. We are building fine layers of gray. It’s like a moth’s wing – delicate and deadly.” – Alex Box
Eye: Scene, Haux and Coquette Eye Shadows – blended into the
crease of the eyelids and inner and outer corners of the eyes.
Cherry Lip Pencil – buffed underneath the lower lash line leaving a gap between the lash line and the colour.
Brows were blocked out with M·A·C Pro Full Coverage Foundation and glue.
Face: M·A·C Pro Full Coverage Foundation – blended onto skin as a base.
M·A·C Pro Invisible Set Powder – to set foundation.
M·A·C Pro Micronized Airbrush Formula in Grey – sprayed over the
face with an airbrush.
Lip: M·A·C Pro Full Coverage Foundation – applied to the lips with
a touch of Scene Eye Shadow placed under the bottom lip.
And getting off-topic...look how big this moth is.

This moth is called the Atlas Moth and can be found in southern China. This moth has nothing to do with this post or MAC cosmetics. I just stumbled across it on wikipedia and had to share my delight...and slight horror.

Sweet baby Jeebus! I never ever want to see one of those in person.
OK. Gross on all accounts, The moth, the makeup and the clothing. Bleh.
Oh and I have a phobia of moths so I had to hold something over the screen covering the images so I could finish reading the test and now I am NEVER going to China. Thanks!
Comrade: I know!
It looks as large as a bird.
Elvira: I am soooooooooo sorry.
I should have did a warning.
It is in China...so we would be safe when we go shopping for Jill Stuart cosmetics in Japan.

bllleegggh!! i'm glad i don't have my mom's phobia :)
I think moths are actually beautiful, but kinda scary (even though with no reason) when that big. However, I love how make up artists chose to translate the look on models. Mothy :D
Hi, I just wanted to say the picture of the moth was taken in Singapore outside a train station. So you can probably find such moths in places other than China too. Btw, I enjoy reading your blog :) it is full of character.
