Skating Bullets on Angel Dust
swallowing diamonds
a cutting throat
your teeth when you grin
reflecting beams on tombstones
a jamboree of surprises
playing Russian roulette
or the lucky clip
a clenched fist to your heart
coal dust on your lungs
a silver tongue for the chosen one
heavy magnum in your side or a bloody thorn
skating bullets on angel dust
in a dead sea of fluid mercury
baby piano cries
under your heavy index and thumb
pull some strings -- let them sing
the stars that shine and the stars that shrink
in the face of stagnation the water runs
before your eyes
dazzle
it's a glittering prize
Lyrics from Dazzle (Siouxsie and the Banshees)
These are the mineralize eye shadows from the Style Black collection from MAC. The shades are sooty with a dash of blue, plum, copper and silver pearl. MAC senior artist, Terry Barber, stated that the mineralize shadows are like "wet asphalt". The pigment power is controlled by the application. Applied dry, the shadows are ash-like, sooty and full of shimmery smoke. A wet application delivers an "oil spill puddle" effect. The blackness is inky with an opalescent, shimmery fire. I had the worst time trying to capture the fire on camera. The first picture in this post was the best from a series.
I highly recommend Karlasugar's blog for better pictures from the collection.
The shadows retail for $19.50 and are currently at your local MAC counter or http://www.maccosmetics.com/
The shades are Cinderfella (black with silver pearl),Gilt By Association (black with gold bronze pearl), Blue Flame (black with blue pearl) and Young Punk (black with a pinkish/purple pearl).
Disclaimer: Cinderfella and Blue Flame are press samples provided by MAC cosmetics.
Young Punk was a purchase from my local MAC counter.

This was sold out already on the first day, most of it on the pre-viewing event held two days before the launch. That wasn't very hard though, the MA's said the stores got around 20 of each color. There are 2 stores in my country, you can easily do the math how many people have the privilage of owning one. I'm unfortunately not one of them:(
It's a real pity, I so wanted to have them, Blue Flame especially.. But I'm not willing to pay the extra for Ebay, because MAC didn't order enough stock.
I love your blog! It's so nice to know that music inspires someone else besides me when it comes to makeup or style!
Beautiful. Makeup is ART these days. I almost hate to mess it up and put it on my face! What gorgeous colors! Are they selling out that fast? Where are you buying yours?
