Desperately Seeking Serena

BLAKE LIVELY / Makeup Artist Angela Levin

Beauty Inspiration: "I was inspired by Blake's stunning Chanel diamond camelia brooch. I wanted her eyes to be dark and sexy, but the rest of herface to be light and fresh. She's young and sexy and wears a smoky eye so well!"

Beauty Tips: "I used Chanel Lift Lumiere Fluid Makeup in Beige all overher face, and set it with Chanel Poudre Cristalline Translucent Powder. On her cheeks I dusted on Chanel Blush Duo in Tweed Rose.

For her eyes I used the bronze and sand shades from the Chanel Quadra EyeShadow in Variations, and Chanel Soft Touch Eyeshadow in Magic Night, a deep plum shade, to add dimension in the crease. I lined the upper and lower lashes with Chanel Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Black Shimmer. I finished the eyes with three coats of Chanel Inimitable Mascara in Noir-Black.

Finally, I created a soft pink lip with Chanel Rouge Allure in Mythic, a perfect nude shade, topped with a bit of Chanel Rouge Allure Laque in Ming."

I heart Chanel, what else can I say? The powder foundation changed my life.

As i saw only the pic at first, I thought "OMG I have to know what's the foundation she wears, I want one" mmmmm now I'm tempted to buy one myself ^.^ It may be mask-like/porcelain/too perfect, whatever, but I'm sick and in love =D

This look is soooooooooooo pretty on Blake. I have to re-create it! But of course, using color dupes. Ain't no way I can afford all that Chanel makeup. :(

Don't get me wrong the look the artist gave her is beautiful. But I'd hardly call putting dark eyeliner on around her a a smoky eye! Maybe it's just me.

I thought her skin looked flawless too. Plus I loved her lippie look. I have Ming. I need to play with my nude lipsticks and see if I can recreate the shade. It is the perfect pinkish nude!

Can I say that Tweed Rose never looked that good on me? It morphed a little dirty on me.

Fabover40: I agree! I will say that this is the most makeup I have ever seen on Blake. She goes for a fairly naked eye with just a dab of shimmer in the inner corner. I watch GG too much. LOL
