I can't get enough of the supermodels from the 90's. My favorite, beside Christy, are Karen Mulder and Helena Christensen.
I love this - thanks for posting. This will take me back to '92 and I was 17 just about to graduate high school and I had BIG dreams becoming a fashion designer in NY. I wish I had a picture of the stacks of Vogue that was under my bed - ha I guess equivalent to a young boy's porn collection!
Anyway, if you ever seen The September Issue. There's a scene with Anna Wintour's daughter in her home and they show a bookcase filled with Vogues from years past - well that was my collection. Sadly, I still wished I had them.
I love Christy always - plus she's a Bay Area girl!
I can't wait to have down time here at work so I can watch the rest of this clip. I will also have to watch George Michael's Freedom video after this!
Navare: Me too.
Love all 3. I also loved Carla, Linda, Naomi, Shalom(she was AMAZING!), Yasmin G and Yasmin Lebon....I could go on. LOL
Lexi: Love your Blythe avatar. I sooooooooooooo want one.
I regret leaving my Harpers Bazaars from the Liz era curbside in Akron, Ohio. I just could not lug them....and I regret it. That was the golden age of magazines...in my humble opinion.
Still have some old Vogues. I should scan them!
Search youtube for more clips from catwalk. It is a treat!!!!!!!!!
OMG! Christy has and will always be my FAVORITE model!:))
Gerri: Me too.
This was the best youtube find EVER!
Thanks Annieytown - now I just need to put down some serious cash to actually buy a Blythe doll!
Oooh Liz Tilberis era Bazaar was the best - may she rest in peace.
I remember that Linda Evangelista cover - the one where she's holding up her hand and it partially covers her face. I loved that the cover was stark - I don't think there was any text just the Bazaar font in black - I'm pretty sure this was in 1993? Yeah that's when I had fantasies of becoming a beauty editor for a magazine...
ha...it's still my dream!
