Youth Quake

Christian Dior's Hydra Life Pro-Youth Skin Tint SPF 20

This is a new, Sephora exclusive, lightweight tinted moisturizer containing SPF 20. Cavewoman and I discovered it during our Sunday trek to Sephora. We both fell in love with its creaminess and coverage. The whole Hydra Life line is magnificent. The serum and moisturizer feel like a million bucks.

According to the Sephora website: Hydra Life combines three pure plant extracts derived from these gardens—Jisten, Centella, and Black Rose—to offer the skin all the benefits of the Cellular Bio-Exaltation. The tinted coverage offers light-diffusing pigments that create a natural and visibly enhanced complexion while the formula acts like a true defense barrier against environmental stress thanks to SPF UVA and UVB filters.
It no contains Parabens, Sulfates, Synthetic Fragrances, Synthetic Dyes, Petro-Chemicals, Phthalates ,GMOs, and Triclosan

I have tried to research this black rose ingredient. Black roses do not exist in real life. Centella is used to aid wound healing and leprosy.

Hydra Life Pro-Youth Skin Tint SPF 20 is a lightweight, hardcore creamy, tinted moisturizer with serious full coverage. This has more coverage than Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer and DuWop's Revolotion. It is a tube full of revolution!

The color range is slightly limited.
#1 is light beige for fair to light complexions
#2 is golden medium golden beige for light to medium complexions
#3 is a warm mocha for medium to dark complexions

Hydra Life Pro-Youth Skin Tint SPF 20 retails 39.00 and is exclusive to Sephora.

Disclosure: This first review is based on a sample from my local Sephora store. I loved it so much that I have purchased from Sephora.com
My bottle is in route via the mail.

Interesting - I may have to procure a sample next time I'm there. Your 40 day posts of skincare has got me on moisturizer kick!

It seems they've discontinued the Hydraction line and introduced this in place of it? I use the Hydraction tinted moisturizer and lovelovelove it, but I wonder how this compares.

I may be mistaked, but I believe this product has existed here in Europe for sometime. I really like it too, but as you say, the colors are a little limited. I have either #2 or #3 (can't remember) but I'm saving it for Summer because it's a smidge darker than my natural skin tone.

Hm... is Sephora generous with samples? I remember asking a worker if I could try have some foundation to try before I purchased anything, and all I got was a really nasty look, before she walked away.

Lexi: Me too! The 40 day project has really fine tuned my lemmings. The Dior line has a fab serum and a moisturizer TO DIE FOR.

Audrey: I believe that is teh case.
I am loving the skin tint. Great coverage. Great moisture. No wear and tear. It is a smidge darker than I am used to though.

Patuxxa: I wish it was a smidge paler too.
But it works.

Some: When it comes to skincare or foundation...they have always been easygoing. Now fragrance...that is a different story.

We had a great SA with the Dior. She reminded me of my friend Tbone.

Lexi: I have been using mine since Monday. It takes only a little bit of product. Do you love?
Did you try the moisturizer?

I will be testing the tinted moisturizer this weekend. Are you talking about the Capture Totale moisturizer and serum? I have tried samples and instantly fell in love with both products. I can't believe how much they cost. I may have to start saving up for it!
