You make it with some of these chicks, they think you gotta dance with them. (Saturday Night Fever)
Rock the Gloss Challenge for August 17th 2006:
I am wearing Nars Boogie Nites. It is a metallic raspberry gloss. Nars gloss is the best gloss on the market. I know this is high praise. No one can touch their amazing pigments and texture. If you love gloss...then this has to be in your collection.
What is your lippie today?

I LOVE that color! I also like their pot glosses...
I love NARS lipsticks and glosses too! Today's look is NARS Dolce Vita ((((P)))) topped with Stella.
Sara
Miss Manners lips are wearing MAC High Tea lipstick topped with Guerlain Beige Caprice gloss and a smattering of cream cheese frosting from the carrot cake she consumed for breakfast.
Mmm, carrot cake! ;)
Today I'm wearing Vincent Longo's Wet Pearl lipstick in Wildberry Luster.
Today's lippie:
MAC Mahogany lipliner, used to line and fill in most of my lips, leaving a small part bare. Smooshed my lips together to distribute the color and get rid of any harsh lines
MAC Lustreglass in Instant Gold layered over the above.
The whole effect is a lovely red base with gorgeous golden pouty-ness. I am VERY pleased with myself! I believe I will be rockin' this lip look in a myriad of color variations for the rest of the summer and into the fall!
Hmmm, I've been hesitant to try new brands of gloss or lipstick for a long, long time. Almost everything dries out my lips. I've stuck with BB shimmer glosses for years. I'm a stickler for smell too. My latest loves are the Lip Fusion and the XL version. I actually went through a whole tube of the regular strength, and that's saying alot for me. The XL is a recent purchase and worth every penny and for sure, I will buy it again.
Lorac lipstick seems to be tops, followed by a three-way tie between MAC, Nars, and believe it or not, that Paula Begoun creme lipstick. I really liked the formulation of the EL Pouts and then they put out weird colors, and of course, they were discontinued. None of the other ELs work for me. I do have one Guerlain Kiss Kiss, and that one is nice too.
Well, enough ranting. I think I was put off the Nars gloss because the testers smelled bad. I'll have to break down and give them and those YSL gold glosses a proper try. lol, maybe the Chantecaille. Love your blog Annie!
Hmmm, I keep hearing this about NARS, must try...
I am wearing Lancome Rouge Absolu in Champagne today - just the hint of a sparkle in it.
Erika: Huge Nars fan here! Love and want everything.
Sara: Love Dolce Vita!!! Love Stella!!!
Miss Manners: High Tea is my biggest regret from MAC. I should have bought it. That collection was one of their best.
That carrot cake sounds delicious.
Stanzi: Now when I see Vincent Longo I instantly think of Vincent at Project Runway. I can not help it. LOL
Toya: I think that is your best lippie combo yet. It sounds stunning.
griffie: Love S. I want him to give me a smokey eye.
Veronica: I have heard such great things about the Chantecaille glosses and lipsticks. I have never explored the counter. i used to run to Bergdorfs to get the foundation. That was my HG before La Mer. They were not very helpful. In fact every experience was unpleasant. I hope to visit the Barneys counter the next time I visit NYC.
Give the Nars a second chance. The quality is wonderful.
Flora: Try them! They are wonderful.
I can not wait to try the new Lancome Red. I just read about in Allure. It sounds like an amazing red.
