Tocca's Stella perfume has been worth the wait. Today is my first day wearing it. I have been in love with the Stella lotion since my early days on Makeupalley. It was the amazing Autumn(tealeif) that insisted that I needed to order it. She knew my taste like the back of her hand.
It was the Blood Orange note that sucker punched me. It is like a grove of ripe blood oranges simmering in the sun.
I was worried that the fragrance would not be able to capture this.
Luckily Tocca nailed it.
The notes are: Bitter Orange, Blood Orange, Watery Accord, White Freesia, Wild Diamond Orchids, Spicy Lily, Sheer Musk and Sandalwood.
" As opinionated and moody as a rebellious young italian beauty, Tocca's Stella attracts your senses with bitter and blood orange, while blends of watery accords instinctively soften the striking top note. White freesia paired with wild diamond orchids heighten the senses, while spicy lily reflects the impetuous personality of moody venus. The blossoming sensulaity of this fragrance endures with sheer musk and sandalwood notes".
Touch, Florence and my beloved Stella will be available in stores in October. It is currently for pre-sale($68) at beautyhabit.com

Ooh, that sounds really nice. I'll have to look into this one. What would you say are your favorite, all time scents? I'm planning another visit to LaCreme soon. :)
thanks for the tip! i love tocca stella - i even shared readers about it!
A, how pronounced is that "watery accord"? Love orange scents, but have never tried the Stella lotion.
I love the bottles-they are so vintage-y and lovely!
Very happy that your beloved it back! ;-) Touch is very pretty, and I have to check out Stella...
I do not know these scents, but the bottles are adorable!
The photos are wonderful. Look at Sophia! Wow! Va-va-vooooom!!!
Oh, Annie! I bet you are so thrilled about this becoming a perfume! (I have a bit of a photographic memory) I remember in ALLURE you said that was your favorite lotion--one of your top five picks--that there were rumours that Stella was becoming a fragrance. Maybe they heard you and kicked it into production!!! Don't you love it when that happens?
I have to say, I haven't picked up my August issue of ALLURE since I read the article describing all of these amazing blog sites. I'm way behind on my "reading".
Carla: I will make a list for you.
BTW: I loved the pictures of LaCreme on your blog. I have always wanted to see what it looks like. It is lovely.
paz: They did very well with the fragrance. I am quite pleased with it. It worth the years of wait.
R: Well...it is pronounced in the dry down. I am not a fan of water-like notes but it is balanced well with the blood orange and sandalwood. It just works for whatever reason.
You would LOVE Stella lotion. It is the best lotion on the planet.
Seriously...you will get hooked.
eye4style: I agree! They are great bottles. Love the look!
Koneko: They did not tweek touch at all. You will love it!
Patti: Vavoom is right!
MissTomFord: The perfume has been in the works for years. I am grateful that it is finally here. It was worth the wait!
I just got the new Allure today. Not bad. Some great stuff in there.
I ran out to get the Stella perfune the FIRST day it came out, and I was so disappointed.
I own every Tocca Stella product, and the smell of the perfume was awful. It doesn't smell that much like the other Stella products. I'm pretty sad about it.
anon: I think the sandalwood will bother a few people. It is definitely not a straight up Blood orange scent like the lotion.
I liked it but would have prefered a lighter touch with the sandalwood.
I had heard it was on back order at beautyhabit. Is it available now?
