Blogdorf Roadshow:
The tiara is a birthday gift from Dramaqueenie2. It is marked Ardell.
I wear it often around the house.
It is hard to have a bad day in a crown.
The first rhinestone necklace is marked Kramer NY. It is a vintage piece I picked up in high school. Vintage shops were all the rage in the late eighties.
These next pieces were all purchased at the Goodwill auction. They are unmarked and went for a song. The bracelet was my favorite find.
It was $5.
Question: Does anyone besides me and dramaqueenie2 own a tiara?

I used to have a tiara, but just a cheap one, which sort of turned into junk. I used to wear it while writing my master's thesis, because the tiara a) kept back my hair and b) seemed to grant me magical all-will-be-well powers. One of my best friends has a nice tiara, which I once wore to my own birthday party. So no, you're not alone, and I after writing this, I really think I need a new tiara.
Btw, if you're ever in Boston, there is a great vintage jewelry store, called 20th Century Limited, on Charles Street.
I have a tiara that I wear when cleaning house. Mundane tasks like laundry or dishes don't seem as bad. As anonymous stated, I think I need a newer, bigger tiara.
I have a tiara from almost 10 years ago from a ballet performance. My friend has a tiara that she won in a modeling competition. :P I wore it only once after the ballet, and it was to my then-boyfriend, now-husband's senior prom. :) I think it's still sitting in my parent's house, hopefully untouched and untarnished.
What? Now I need to go and get a tiara??? Well, it IS for a good cause...trying to make housework a little more fun! LOL
I agree with pattyg- i can't believe i never thought about owning a tiara!
YES! I am so glad to see that the vintage tiara made your roadshow :^D
Yes, I do have a tiara - it's the one I wore when I got married. I still take it out and wear it around the house just for the heck of it. My three-year-old has one, too. Sometimes we wear our tiaras at the same time - marching about, declaring ourselves the Queen and Princess of Kevsway. Our shih tzu is the Duchess. My husband is unamused.
My grandmother used to give both me and my younger sister rhinestone tiaras when we would reach certain goals in ballet, ie: three years of dancing, five years, ten years, etc... So I used to have somewhat of a collection. I wonder where they are now? I could use one.
