Chanel's Noel Holiday 2007 Makeup Collection
Chanel's Holiday Collection is lovely this year. The shades range from silverish pinks to shimmering plums.
This palette has an blue toned icy silver shade along with a warm white, a rich chocolate plum and a peachy pink brown.
Le Vernis Nail Color
Delice is a sheer shimmering peachy-nude shade. Dazzling is a true understated red. There is no blue or orange tones.
I have never met a shimmering powder I have not liked. This Chanel loose powder is a shade above the rest. This is a limited-edition translucent gold shade that sparkles and shimmers better than NARS Machu Picchu. I also thought it was better than Estee Lauder's Platinum Illuminator and DiorShow powder in Dream Light.
Violet Sapphire is neither violet or sapphire...it is a bronzed brick red.
Amber is a cool toned taupe.

Levres Scintillantes
Rose Crystal is a sheer shimmery pink. I will use this up by spring.
Bronze Crystal is chock full of brassy shimmer. Reminds me of a shiny new penny!
Dazzling
A true red shade. It has no blue or orange tones. It is not like the poppy rich Behnaz by Lancome or the L'Oreal Target Red lippie.
This red is like a late summer overripe tomato.

Bronze Crystal looks glorious! That's my type of shade. Great pics A! For some reason Dazzling looked slightly tomato red on me when I looked at it in the sun. Even though it's pretty straight up red in the bottle. Odd.
Annie! Some advice before you dip into the Neroli Rose. Do NOT use your blush brush. It will turn your blush into a rock. The blush is oil-free and will absorb any oil from your foundation or your face. You will have to scrape the surface to re-use it. Instead, rub the surface with a brand new clean cotton ball and then apply to your cheeks with the cotton. Dot it on both cheeks. Don't go back to the blush with the cotton ball. You'll have enough on it to dot on both cheeks. I even use a crumpled facial tissue to do this. That way you won't ruin your blush. This is the basic problem that most people report with the Irreeles. Chris at Chanel and I were talking about it last week, and we 'discovered' this technique together!
I love Neroli Rose! Is it a LE or is it permanent, do you know?
I think I will be needing that lighter nail polish, Delice. What a pretty collection!
Those are wonderful pictures, thanks for posting!!
I must get that lipgloss in pink, it looks gorgeous.
Seriously, better than Dream Light, which is my favorite powder evah! Looks like I need to head back to my Chanel counter to scoop up this powder.
Gah! Just when I thought I could get away from not buying anything from this collection, Chanel sucks me in again! The nailpolishes and the rouge allure lipstick are calling my name!
Patti -- Neroli Rose is limited edition. It's so beautiful, I can't bring myself to use it!
JDBSusanna, that means I had better run and get another one! Thanks for the tip!
I, too, stalk Chanel beaty. I have 3 of the quilted blushes and haven't run into the caking problem. I did just relize why. I am a fanatic about cleaning my brushes with alcohol.
I was a bit disappointed with the eyeshadows. The one quad was way too "blue" for my skin tone and the other quad was too light. It did nothing for me. I can see the faces that it would look good on though. So, good for them.
I thought the glossimers were fun. The pink one reminds me of cry baby.
I don't think I can buy enough Chanel glosses. They are lovely.
