Bobbi Brown's Metallic Eye shadow in Forest
Forest is all soot and sparkle. This shadow is heavy on the carbon black and light on the pine forest. Take MAC's Greensmoke and roll it around in an ashtray...and you have Forest. Now you might be reading this thinking I am not fan of this shadow.
That could not be further from the truth.
Forest is a dark smoke with a backdrop of olive green and gold shimmer. It creates a fierce smokey eye that is not at all work friendly. The pigment power is at full volume and the sparkle is more fiery than any Bobbi Brown shadow in existence.
This is truly Nars worthy...which is the highest compliment you can bestow on an eye shadow. It is like the gold medal in cosmetics.

2nd shot is with a flash and the MAC shadow is Mink and Sables.

lovely color! :)
I just bought this last week - and I've worn it almost every day since! It is the most lovely shadow I've purchased in a long time. The thing was, it was on a whim! I'm so glad I got it - the color is to die for. Do you notice that, depending on what other shadows you combine it with, sometimes it can look a little bit emerald on the eye, rather the olive? Just wondered if it was only me.
WANT.
Sweeeeet... I am totally going to check this out. I love colours like that.
Ah! You enabler...I bought this with Velvet Plum and Rock Star today to make a fall eye palette...never would have done it if I hadn't seen your pictures!!
I adore this shade, it's the only BB shadow I have aside from the deluxe sample of brownstone (so adorable & wee!). I bought in lieu of NARS nightclubbing, it is phenomenal. I think I posted a comment earlier wherein a mentioned that MAC goldmine & BB forest are fantastic together. Also, I find it strange how similar mink & sable & forest look in the pan, but when swatched together they are completely unalike. Perfect description!
I'm loving this color!
Hmm...it looks and sounds similar to Stila golightly - any thoughts?
You were right! I don't know if you recall, but you wished for Sephora to open in Holland in 2008? Well..we will be getting 11 stores! The closest store is now 30 mins away rather than the usual 4-6 hour train ride to Luxemburg or Paris.
Just thought I'd share this exciting news with you!
x Grayburn
Love it!
