Romancing The Stone
Bobbi Brown's Metallic Eye Shadow in Brown Stone
Danny Ocean: "Why do they always paint hallways that color?".
Rusty Ryan: "They say taupe is very soothing."
This is a pale taupe shade with just a tinge of gray. This can be accurately described as mouse-like. The metallic eye shadows have respectable crease proof powers and are pigmented. The texture varies with the shades. Brown Stone feels cashmere-like while Rockstar feels a bit more crumbly.
The shimmer is on a low volume and is work friendly.
It is available at your local Bobbi Brown counter and it retails for $20.

Looks so plush!
I am crazzzy about this shadow!! I got it as a sample when I ordered the fabulous mauve lippies, and its GORGEOUS. I'm glad to see its getting some hype.
I am afraid to say that I have trouble stomaching the idea of spending $20 an an eyeshadow that is a pretty standard taupe color. I spent $14 on S&D (MAC), but it was limited edition and beautiful.
Hi Annie -- I just had another idea about your site update. Although it's not an update for the site. But what about putting Blogdorf on Facebook where we can join as fans and that would spread the word about your beauty guru-ness? I don't mind ads, though, if you decide to go that route. You've shown us that you are not a shill for the ad or pr people -- you tell it like it is. Good luck with it! Molly
beautiful shade!

I too got this shadow as a sample and while agree it is not bargain priced it is lovely and an impeccable basic. On that note I would rather spend money on quality basics and play it cheap on the trends.
I like this taupe eyeshadow. I want to buy it to make myself feel better about the fact that I WILL NEVER FIND SMOKE & DIAMONDS ANNNYYWHEERREEEE. Sigh.
This shade makes me think of the fall already, it's a great color, there's so much you can do with it...
very pretty and subtle
Annie, this is slightly OT but I was wondering if maybe you could do a review/comparison of all the new mascaras with pictures? Lancome Oscillation, Diorshow Icon, Givenchy Phenomen'Eyes, I hear Chanel has one called Exceptionnel... They all sound great I'm totally overwhelmed but I definitely need a new mascara. Please help us out!!! :D
