Great video from style.com
My favorite description about the Marc Jacobs collection is from Mr Blanks.
"Lana Turner goes to Bali"
What do you think was the reference of the collection?
I will start.
I saw Eliza Doolittle from My Fair Lady.
I saw a heavy japanese influence.
I also could not shake The Waltons/Laura Ingalls vibe. This was a wierd and strong trend from several collections. It might be a subtle political commentary. I guess when the world is going to hell in a handbasket, people want a return to simple times.
They want plaid and aprons.
