Day 40: Not just Another Mouth in the Lipstick Vogue

I am having a hard time ending this project. There were so many lippies we never got around to discussing.
I have a great fondness for sheer or snow-like shimmery glosses. I swoon over sparkle and high sheen.

Philosophy is a brand that you go to for skin or bath care. One of the line's hidden gems are their lip glosses. They have a hint of color, high shine, non-tacky texture, and a respectable dose of shimmer. Victoria Secret's Beauty Rush lip gloss in Spring Fling is a clear gloss with blue shimmer. It tastes like bubblegum and is hydrating.

Rimmel's After Dark lip gloss is filled with gadgetry. It has a light built in along with a handy mirror. This lippie has high shine but weak shimmer benefits. It is soothing and feels like silk on the lips. Styli-Style Plastique Brilliant lip gloss has chunks of multi-colored glitter. It feels gritty and uncomfortable yet it looks like a shimmery disco ball on the lips.

Chanel Glossimers in Crystal Blue is a clear shade with ultra-fine sky blue shimmer. Glitter is a snowy shimmer. It really looks like shimmery snow on a sunny day. Ovation is an opalescent with pink shimmer.

MAC's Snowscene is the very best of the shimmery white genre. It is not a sheer but rather a true snow shade. The shimmer power is first rate. It transforms any color of lipstick from pink to nude.

Let us know if you have a favorite sheer lip gloss or if you are a fan of the shimmery whites in the comments.

Nice photos! My favorite of the white glosses with sparkle has to be the now discontinued DiorKiss in Sorbet Meringue. It has unsurpassed shimmer and looks beautiful over reds, pinks, any color really. I also love the older Too Faced Diamond glosses.

I love glittery sheer lip glosses! The one I own is Mac Dazzleglass in Sugarrimmed.

Are the Chanel glossimers not available in stores? They're gorgeous!

I love shimmery whites. I like to add them on top of other gloss colors to either tone them down a bit or enhance them, depending.

I'm a broken record about Besame today... but their Vanilla lip gloss is great to give a little shimmer and shine to any lipstick.

I like DiorKiss SparkleShine Glitter Top Coat. It might've been a limited edition.

Thanks so much for this wonderful series!! Lipgloss and lipstick are my favorites.

shimmery whites make me look dead, but I admire them from afar (and even own Sugarrimmed because it is gorgeous)

this has been a great series--in Blogdorf's honour, I went to Bergdorf's on my recent trip to NYC and purchased a new shiseido lipstick and liner (and the new compact foundation, which is amazing btw)

I love the Mac one! It is gorgeous. And Speaking of Victoria's Secret, I have tons of their glosses--I can't get enough! I have like ten of them and if any of them get empty, I have to go out and buy more!!! My favorite of all the lippies! Plus they are inexpenisve--2 for $12 or 5 for $20. It doesn't get better than that!
