She's a Carnival
Chanel's Les Folies Noires Quadra Eye Shadow from the Noirs Obscurs Collection
mosaic eye, gypsy eye
glowing as it dazzles
she's a portrait of a poison
The Noirs Obscurs collection is officially up on http://www.chanel.com/
I think many of us have been salivating at this tribute to darkness by Peter Philips.
There are many things to love from 1920's inspired lipsticks to this murky palette.
The pigment power ranges with application. With a dry application, the shadows appear like a mist of soot. It is smoke and ashes with just a tint of color. The wet application brings out all the spectral magnificence. The 4 shadows are variations of black.
The shades are:
Noir Aubergine-This is a plummy ash.
Noir Céleste-This is a sooty British racing green.
Noir Céladon-This is the sky at round 2am. Inky with just a touch of gray.
and Noir Brun. Noir Brun is a sepia shade and it is a beast. Very 20's inspired. Hitting pan will never be so quick and easy.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!
I hope its available in stores soon. Along with the lippies!
Annieytown- how did you like the Jade nailpolish?
My experience is, its too bold for the office but is my weekend pleasure...for now.
That's one of their best looking palettes I've seen in a long time! Gorgeous! Can't wait to see it in person.
Lacroix: This is a less shimmery alternative to the MAC shadows coming out. The key to this palette is the wet application. It becomes a beast.
The dry application is good too...makes a smoky eye more wearable for work.
LOVE the Jade polish. It is soooooooooo damn good. I get all the love now.
Fab: It really is magnificent.
They look sooooo much darker swatched, but nevertheless beautiful! ^.^
OK, now I think I am passing it. doesn't do a thing for me now. the stock pic I have seen seems to be better than the real life colours... *_*
thanks for teh review.
Mary: I swatched them wet.
They are way lighter with a dry application. I took pics...but it was hard to see the colors.
This is a tricky palette to photograph.
Jojoba: Is the stock picture brighter?
I actually really enjoyed this palette. I loved the hint of color with the smoke.
Promise that you will peek at it when it comes to your local counter. Just give it a chance!
Hi! Can you tell me where you found this quad? Online or instore? TIA!
LUV this smokey palette!! Totally glam. I would love to pair this with a deep lip color! GORGEOUS! I can't wait to get my hands on these!
Looks so dark and sultry, maybe too dark for me but gorgeous!
I got this, but I didn't like it as much as I wanted to. I really didn't like the grayness or the silver glitter present in each shadow, especially when applied dry. It is somewhat nicer wet, but improves greatly over a base. I liked MAC Blacktrack fluidline and Blackground Paint Pot. The grayness diminished and so did the silver glitter.
