A Kiss in the Dreamhouse
These are the dark lippies from Chanel's Noirs Obscurs Collection. The lipsticks are heavily pigmented, vampy shades that vary from chocolate to blue violet. The color pay off is outstanding. What you see is what you get. The lipsticks provide deep saturated color. The Noirs Obscurs lippies are not a wash of morbid darkness that streak or clump.
Hysteria is a blue violet black shade. Obscure is a 1920's inspired chocolate wine.
Maniac is a plummy black.

Really dark lip colors just look scary on this German and Irish girl. I think they're pretty though and I wish I could pull them off. As it is, I just bought Chanel's new lip lacquer in Ming.
Dark colors on nails are different though - I scored the last bottle of Baby Goth Girl at my MAC counter yesterday!

I picked up Obscure today. Love it. It was the most practical choice for my colouring, but I did really wish for Maniac (the most blue one). I also picked up the eyeshadow quad. I couldn't resist it.

Great swatches! Maniac is a fabulous shade, but I just can't pull off these dark colors. I really only think they look good when your mouth is closed. Not practical for every day wear, IMO.

A dark chocolate brown though...
We've had these in Canada for a while. I tried them all on, but never got the intensity of colour that the model in the promo pic had. I really love the brownish and reddish shades, but the purple is too much for me.
Awesome! I can always count on you for news about Chanel. :D I've been obsessed with finding a 1920sish shade for awhile, so I'm totally going to buy Obscure.
These are lovely but on my super pale skin I would look way too goth, although I would fit in round my local town during goth weekend. I think I would go for maniac out of these, I think it would be the easiest for me to pull off but I love hysteria.
Is the formula as nice as the other rouge allures?
I have to say that I love dark lipstick as much as I love dark polish bit because of my olive pigmentation neither flatter me :( But they're gorgeous!
I tried Maniac on my lips and it was vampy. I love it but didn't buy it because I will not wear it often. Obscure may be even more wearable than Maniac, I have to try it. These lipsticks are as what you described, not streaky at all. I picked up the eye quad.
I bought Obscure and Maniac at Saks about two weeks ago, and they are so lovely. I'm so happy the dark lip is back in style. I was getting sick of the pale glossy nude lip! I just wish Hysteria would have worked on me, but it was just WAY too cool-toned.

Damn!! Those are hot colors. I am very pale with dark hair, and I will wear a dark lip if the occasion warrants it. Gorgeous!!
Man, I wanna try dark lipstick, but I have dark skin, and I would probably look stupid.
