Make Up For Ever HD High Definition Powder

This is part of their high definition series created to deliver flawless makeup that is camera ready. It is comprised entirely of mineral silica powder. I have mixed feelings concerning this product. I found this powder formula to be one of the most lightest I have tested. This is lighter than a feather. When you use it some particles escape and create a cloud of powder that slowly floats to the ground. This powder cloud dissipates like smoke.
It goes on lightly and does not cake or clog the surface. The actual texture on the face is beyond flawless.
However it adds a ghostly tint on the face. It gives that dreaded gray cast that most translucent powders do. If this had just a smidge or tint of color it would be spectacular for me. It retails for $30 and is available at your local Sephora.

CoverGirl's Trueblend Luminous Loose Blush Powder Collection

I have been using Pure Romance(pictured to the left) as an all over powder instead of a blush. It reminds me of my beloved Caron loose powder in Venitienne. It leaves a subtle rosy glow with an extra pop of gold shimmer.

Shimmering Sands is ridiculously gorgeous. It is a caramel color with iridescent gold and apricot shimmer. This is way too dark for me to use as a powder. I have to use a light hand and a skunk brush to apply this as a blush.
The powders retail for around $7.00 at your local drugstore.

La Mer The Powder Review

I posted that the La Mer powder is the best thing that has happened to me since their foundation. I am insane over this powder!

I am a loose powder junkie so I am generally hard to please when it comes to this type of product. This one made my heart sing and my feet dance. It is as light as whipped cream with a buttery texture. Sean from Saks made cavewoman and I dip our fingers in the jar. You could not feel the powder. It is that finely milled. It is said to be have been developed by NASA scientists but I can not get confirmation on this rumor. Dr Max Huber did work for NASA so it could be possible that he had friends do a side project. If they did...then make them do more. Screw the space program and start working on eyeshadows!
