Chanel's Smoke Palette is at the counters!!!!!!!!!
My first impression is that the pigment power for the shadows in the palette is whispery light. I have never seen a smoke shade so subtle and quiet. I can only imagine what this palette will accomplish. I foresee daytime friendly smokey eyes in my future!
I believe it retails for $56. I was too dazzled that I forgot to ask.

It's Here! It's Here! * jumps up & down excitedly * I NEED this. I just can't decide if I want the quad or the duo. The quad shadows are usually more sheer than the singles. I prefer the singes but my have to make an exception for this quad!!!
OH YES YES YES! ITS HERE FINALLY! I've been drooling offer the Exceptionnel De Chanel site ever since I got the e-mail from them. I want every single product from this collection! The quad, the singles, duos, mascara, all of it. Its all just so beautiful and perfect!

There have just been so many beautiful and amazing new products lately that I just haven't been able to help myself. That said, I caved and went to Chanel during lunch today and picked up the Smokey Eyes quad along with the Gold Fiction and Kaliedescope polishes. Its a miracle I made it out of there without every eye product from both the Fall and the Exceptionnel de Chanel collections, but the one thing I am now kicking myself for leaving without is the liner duo. I will definitely be going back for that one in the next few weeks. Hopefully they will still have it. The woman helping me said something about the whole collection will be gone very quickly, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will. I was shocked when she said that they had sold out of the Fantastic nail polish twice already, yet they hadn't sold out of Gold Fiction or Kaliedescope.
Do you think they will still have these smokey products around for X-mas season?
I got this quad today! I was bopping all around my house with pajama bottoms, a running bra top, and a killer smokey eye! BUT they aren't sheer, except for the sparkly white color. I would love to make this work for work but I don't think I can make that happen.
I bought the La Ligne duo yesterday, and it is FABULOUS. The tiny brush is wonderful for lining the eyes, and the little smudge brush is very effective. I did make up for two 16 yr old girls for their Formal last night, and used this, and I am telling you I am sooo glad I bought it. Haven't tried the metallic shade yet, but on my hand it looked a softer grey black. I intend to use this as a liner under the top lashes and in the inside rim of my eyes. Cost me AUD$84, but I couldn't wait for my Qantas Flight Attendant friend to go to San Fran. to purchase cheaper for me!!
I've been dying for this collection and unfortunately for my credit card, I want all of it. It's perfection.
Kristen: I am hoping the palette will be at the counter for the holiday season. I will watch MUA to see what the buzz is. If they start disappearing across the country...I will run to my local counter. I just have to be good until November.
