Lipstick
Just yesterday, with domino decorum,
I lined them up.
Their names,
insinuating florists and fruit trees,
also suggested
fingers scorched
by a romance novel's pages.
Eyeing their sleek shells,
I envision a garageful
of tiny parked cars.
Maybe I'll release one
from its swivelling chassis
and let glaze ride the contours
of lick and smile.
Yes, I think I'll watch
one of these little roadsters
roar across the divided highway
of my mouth.
This a poem that was written by the stunning Sara Levy.
She is one of those gorgeous women who can actually stop traffic.

I love Griff's choice today. Tenderheart is one of those rare nudes that doesn't make me look coffin-ready.
I'm wearing my all time favorite Wet n Wild 666 lipliner with YSL Golden Gloss #2. It may be my favorite lip look of all time. There's something so rich and decadent about the Golden Glosses.
And, thanks to the glorious Cavewoman, I'm engaging in periodic fits of wrist-sniffing. She sent me a sample of Bond No. 9 Fire Island. I think I'd like to bathe in it.

I have such a bad cold today that I'm keeping things easy... just some Jason Temptations Moisturizing Lip Tint in Pink Hope. It's a gloss with an iridiscent pink shine and a minty flavor.

Vroom vroom, Sara's lips are road-ready. Nice metaphor! They do look sleek and streamlined, little Ferraris ready to tear up the road.
I, however, am having an austere day of Kiehl's lip balm and nothing else on the mouth. In fact, I walked out wearing no foundation, no powder, no concealer. Just eyebrow pencil, eyeliner, and mascara. I've been told twice I look pale and sick. And there goes today's experiment in minimalism.
Today, Revlon Colorstay Sheer in Sheer Rosette. Feels quite nice for a long-lasting lippie. :)

Fire Island has become a staple scent for summer. If you have any left layer it with Estee Lauder's Azuree oil by Tom Ford. It is "out of the park" excellent. I layer everything with the Tom Ford oil. It was my best summer purchase.
