A Lipstick is Worth a Hundred Words

Has there ever been anyone cooler than Debbie Harry? As the face of the band Blondie, she belted out some of the classic pop songs of the 1980s. She was also an icon of chic street style, with flawless cheekbones and a sexy smirk, shining against the gritty background of the New York punk scene. Debbie was so cool that she didn’t even seem to need our admiration. And please, let’s not forget that she was sporting her signature platinum hair, her sharp little outfits, and her bright red lipstick long before Gwen Stefani ever stepped up to a microphone!

Not only that, she inspired a NARS eyeshadow too. I bought it just for the name Heart of Glass, a very pale sheer blue....Yes, I AM a child of the 80's!
Hooray for the 80s! Ava-Luxe has a few fragrances inspired by Blondie, too... Heart of Glass and Sunday Girl, maybe others. :)
How I used to wish I looked like her. I was a full fugured brunette who looked like crap with blond hair. I once bought a frosted blond wig and wore it to a wedding. My family said I looked beautiful. Liars! I looked at pictures later and asked, "Who is that old lady standing next to my Mother?". It sadly was me. I loved her red lips and those I can totally wear and look good in.
