Shimmer Junkies Unite: Dazzleglasses are Back!
I tried to be good but I did cave on quite a few dazzleglasses. I repurchased Sugarrimmed and Rags to Riches. The color that managed to make my heart flutter is Goldyrocks. It is a whispery lemon yellow with pink shimmer. I predict this will be the first sell out of the line.
I plan to gush over these in more detail later this week. The new colors are pretty fabulous. I might have issues with the brush applicator. I am finding that some are stiff while others are perfection.
Let us know what you think of the new dazzleglasses in the comments.

Quick question:
I've never used MAC Lipglass or Lipgloss of any sort. I am a devout MAC follower, but always get scared off from the glosses because whenever I get to a MAC counter to try them, all of the doe-foot applicators on the testers have fallen off, which doesn't bode well for the product.
Do the Dazzleglasses have the same applicator? If anyone out there swears by the glosses, do they hold up over time? I want so badly to like them!!
Hi K,
The MAC SA's cut off the applicators for sanitary reasons. You can totally ask the staff for a tester brush. They are disposable. Every MAC counter I have visited have been cool with giving out brushes....
Dazzleglasses have a brush applicator. I am on the fence about this brush...they seem stiffer this time around. They do hold up with use and never "splay out" like a BB gloss.
MAC makes great glosses. You will be hooked after the first test!!!!
Let us know what you think when you try them!
I bought six of them today (don't remember the names, they were all in the pink/purple family), in addition to the four I own already. I'm not usually a “glitter girl” but I couldn’t resist. Between this and the F&F sale at Saks, I’ve been giving in to temptation a lot lately :).
Annie, how do you wear the yellow one? By itself or on top of a lipstick?
I might have caved on 9 of them. :) Might is the operative word here, in case my wallet asks.
I also wanted to pipe up re: the brush applicator. The last dazzleglass go-around I bought 3 different colors. Two of the brushes were great, but the third was very stiff and pointy, and it almost hurts to use! With that one, I just smear a little on with the side of the brush, and then smooth out with my finger or a lip brush. I figure for such a gorgeous gloss, a little trouble applying is no big deal. :)
Faye: I layered it over a pink lippie. It was very fetching.
I plan to wear it alone tomorrow. I will let you know the results.
Jamie: That is what happened to me! I wonder if it is a quality issue...
I thought yesterday was day 40 of the lip stuff! I know it's your blog but can we talk about something else?
I have never been interested in MAC lip products but since I spotted those beautiful lip swatches on Karen's site, I have made a mental note that these are for me to check when they reach here. Now I see your pictures, I want to see them immediately! Not sure why but I am slowly getting interested in MAC. :P
But I still don't like to go to the store. Very scary!
Oh dear... I think I might be in love with Love Alert and Extra Amps, and am very fond of Steppin Out, Moth to Flame and Smile... thanks goodness my birthday and graduation are coming soon, I now know what to tell people to get me - MAC gft certificates!!!
I have had a few of these stiff brushes but have had luck with wiping them off and bending the brush back and forth to loosen the bristles. After that they have all been fine for me...maybe this will work.
Also I had a lol moment when I saw your post today and got funny looks in the Starbucks line (I was surfing on the phone). Shimmer Junkies Unite indeed and we need a really cool uniform! :)
I didn't cave on any dazzleglasses yet, primarily because they remind me of Chanel Astral which I had to grow to love.
i need to pick one up atleast
