I was sidetracked yesterday by a little bit of drama. Today I am back on track and ready to blog.
I am starting a nail polish month on October 1st. It will feature reviews of nail polish brands and colors along with any interesting facts I can dig up.
Why nails?
Because I get just as excited to see the new OPI collection as I get with a new MAC color story.
Because Chanel's Black Satin nail polish is selling for crazy prices on Ebay. It is offically a frenzy.
Think of it as the new most coveted beauty product. Like MAC's infamous Parrot eyeshadow.
Because makeupalley included a nail board on their site.

I am searching everywhere for Estee Lauder's Plum Cassis. It is so gorgeous and perfect for fall, but it's sold out everywhere I've looked.
I am wearing Estee Lauder Pure Color lipstick in Hot Kiss. And the best --- it was FREE!! I went to the EL counter last week to buy loose powder---of course the GWP started the next day (isn't that always the way it happens??!?). The sales associate said I could prepurchase and she'd mail the powder and GWP the next day. As a reward for prepurchasing, I got to pick out of the "lipstick box". As soon as I saw the Hot Kiss, I grabbed it (I do believe someone posted about it previously so I recognized the name immediately.) It only takes something small like that to make my day!

Yay! I'm totally into this one. I've recently discovered IsaDora for a cheaper alternative to the short, dark nail look. Maybe you can enlighten us on this brand because all I know is that it's Swedish. Are the other products any good?

Hurrah for nailpolish month! I am excited! I am hankering for Lippmann's Nefertiti, which I wish I snagged on our last shopping expedition (it's the most perfect gold nailpolish ever!) I am an Eygpt-o-phile, who happens to have gold fever in the worst way, and our beloved griffie has shown me the light!
I love Chanel's Lilac Sky nail polish, it was my favorite color for the summer and I'm still refusing to let go. This weekend I tried Maybelline's Colorama in Blackcurrant Jelly (Helena Christensen was wearing it in her recent Vogue shoot) and it is very promising for the fall's dark nail trend. I'm also looking for a dark purple based color and the Plum Cassis mentioned here looks promising, I remember seeing it recently and loving it... I must rush and buy it before its sold out!
