Rock the Gloss Challenge for Tuesday August 22nd 2006:
"If a character was a passionate, ill fated woman...I would eliminate the bow of my upper lip in order to produce a straight and inflexible line. My face would then take on a mysterious remoteness. If my character...was a victim of circumstance seeking the meaning of life...I would shorten the corners of my mouth, the lower lip of which I would paint with cerise...my face would then amuse me with its sanctimonious naivete". Quote from Sarah Bernhardt's The Art of Theatre/found in Lipstick by Jessica Pallingston photo: gettyimages
My lippie for today is MAC's Bait Lipglass. It is a baby pink with some shimmer. I am in a funk so I have no idea why I chose such a cheerful color. I guess I am hopeful that the day will get better.
What is your lippie today? Does it match your mood?

I'm wearing the new Colorstay lipstick in Baby Peach. It's fresh and sweet looking. As I am neither, I'm not sure why I chose it.
I'm fretting over a friend's pain this morning, so it might be a shot at mood reversal, as well.
I am wearing a Sephora-brand lipstick that bears no identifying mark except these mysterious numbers:
559
421A
That fails to help, I know. I truly reached into the back of my traincase today to wear this one. It is a sheer glossy raspberry pink, and it goes well with the peachy blush I've put on in an attempt to make myself look less dead. I don't think anyone's fooled, though.
Colorstay Sheer in Sheer Naked. I'm trying to wear all my light summery stuff before Labor Day. Even if it's still hot, I'll go into fall makeup mode after the holiday. I cannot wait!
Sorry, me again...I have Tenderheart. It's one of by staples. It's a neutral that doesn't go brown or pink on me. I haven't tried the gloss version, but fwiw, the lipstick gets my vote. Works well under a lot of different glosses.
