Day 27, MAC's Naked Lunch Eye Shadow
Naked Lunch qualifies as a "workhorse shade". It manages to work with various eye shadow combinations and just makes your eye lids look better.
Naked Lunch is a gleaming champagne color. It is a neutral that subtly flashes peach. The popularity might be based on its restorative powers. It might look unassuming in the pan but this shadow can make the most tired eyes look bright and refreshed. It is like a mini-eye lift.
Naked Lunch never inspires passion in a beauty junkie. There is no swooning or gushing. We just take advantage of the fact that it exists. We never worry of discontinuation or hoard extra pans. We might secretly say that it resembles Stila's Kitten, but we are never without it in our makeup collection. If this shadow would ever be on the MAC chopping block there would be panic and disorder on MUA and at your local MAC counter.
I know I would begin the hoarding process.

I have one MAC eyeshadow (I know, gasp!) and it's Naked Lunch. I love, love this shade. It's natural looking but gives your eyes a "pop." When I have two minutes to get out the door, I put on Naked Lunch w. mascara and I'm good to go!

I purchased Naked Lunch a couple of weeks ago at the recommendation a MAC saleperson. I had no idea it was a member of the the "cult-o-sphere." Today I'm wearing it with the Layin' Low paintpot and love the look!
i actually just discovered this e/s after being a longtime lover of all MAC shadows and it's great! imo it knocks the socks off of shroom and ricepaper. it's much better as a highlighter than either of those two and doesn't get nearly as much credit as they do!
I am so excited to see this post as naked lunch is my number one must have eyeshadow. I use it everyday and have repurchased twice already! LOVE it.
I have Naked Lunch pigment and am not super impressed. Is there a difference between the pot and the pigment?

I finally bought Naked Lunch e/s this weekend! Loves it... I am thinking "why didn't I buy this sooner?" because it goes on like buttah and brightens my blue eyes!
ps. To anonymous, there is a Naked pigment but no Naked Lunch pigmemt. The Naked pigment is sheer with a fine glitter and works well as a brown bone highlighter but it works really well with a creamy base underneath to make it stick.
After reading this, I ran out to my local MAC counter and snapped up this shadow. It is absolutely fabulous -- everything you said it was and MORE. Thanks!
funny! i read this the day it was posted, then the other day bought naked lunch without making the connection (maybe it was subliminal?) i'm really liking it so far.
